Works perfectly for my 20 gallon aquarium. I wish there was a shelf or something on the bottom because it's difficult to try to figure out why it's even there with an openness. Another 20 gallon won't first on it without sticking out. That is my o my complaint at this time. As stated it's holding my aquarium and seems to be sturdy. I put it together myself and I'm not in the least bit handy so that tells how easy it is.

Spend a little more to get a better stand and peace of mind!!!
My 11-year old was excited to see the stand arrive and wanted to assemble it on his own. He did everything perfectly, but the arms wouldn't both line up with the hole on the bottom shelf. The hole was drilled off-center, 11-1/8" from one side of shelf and 11-5/16" from the other side.The arms are each 25-1/8" long. The holes in the top shelf for each individual bracket are 4-3/16" from the end of the shelf. The distance from top of each shelf is 22-5/8".This stand makes me nervous, anyways, because it doesn't have a lip on the tank shelf and has a slick surface. I also have two kids. It's a recipe for disaster.

Overall great
I love this, only docking a star because it’s not quite as sturdy as I was hoping but I guess considering it’s open design it’s as good as it can get. So far no problems holding a tall 20gallon tank.

I’d recommend it
Had trouble lining up one of the braces. Had to force it so holes line up and as a result one of the braces has a bow, but I’d still recommend it and no one will notice the bow anyways since it’s at back. I have a 20 gallon tank.

Dangerous for kids. No safety features: someone could knock this right off of the stand.
