SM380V SMAN manifolds, black

Excellent. I am not a pro (anymore, was in the field 30 years ago). But I have a lot of HVAC projects on cars and my buildings. I was tired of the old style in accurate steam gauges. I admit this has more features and some are for the advanced user and over my head. BUT, I used this one on a split unit, a conventional home HVAC and vehicles. ( R-410A, R22, R134-A). I usually always prefer charging units by weight. But there are occassions its not practical, i.e. minor top off. The superheat and subcooling read outs are so easy to do and automatically calculated. Not cheap but it paid for itself already.

My dad is a major diy freak, but he often springs for the cheap tools instead of the professional ones. He came over cause my AC was running warm, and his subcool and superheat numbers from his cheap gauge was all over the place. He often put too much refrigerant, then pulled some out, then had to put some back. It was a mess, and he didn't leave me feeling confident in the job. I ended up calling a professional to top it off again. My dad's cheap gauge resulted in him taking more refrigerant out of the unit, then putting more in. The tech ended up charging me 1k to top off 2 units. We bought another house, and started to experience warm air again. but instead of calling my dad or a tech, I decided to wing it, buy the tool all the professionals use, and learn to do ac maintenance myself. With the help of YouTube, I think I mastered the basics. I ended up fixing the issue. I had complete confidence in the superheat and subcool calculations from this fieldpiece. I took my time with it and the results paid off. I even used it to check my car ac, and found it low on refrigerant in no time. Tool will definitely pay for itself in due time. Like every tool, there is a learning curve. But their are tons of YouTube videos to help.

Nice set of gauges, seems durable, I like using the thermocouples, and makes calculations easy. I still use my normal gauges for certain applications, but I’m trying to use these more often. Better price than supply house.

My husband loved this product. The durability, the easy connectivity of job link, (you can be in the attic connects great) and toggle through all the functions with easy reading! He said there just DOPE!!!

So much easier! No more calculations, simply reading subcooling and superheat.

Man these are great,easy to work and operate. Just wished they came with low loss hoses. A much needed product for me

I love this manifold it's solid and sturdy and have a pretty hefty weight to it doesn't feel heavy but feels it has guts so anyway lets talk about it little bit i don't write a long essay review but will write enough so here it goes it's a port design and I like the 3 port cause the 4 port really needed if the manifold is used with vacuuming so I like the 3 port cause I have the vacuum rig separate I don't use the manifold gauge unless I don't any other option but I have the Accutools tru blue hoses anyway i like it the micron gauge is built in which is great to have ok let's move on the temp clamps are good but guess what I got the wireless temp clamp love that feature also got the psychrometer probe just need the scale and it's very easy to use the menu as well also you can calibrate it as well temp and as well as the pressure so no need to send it back to fieldpiece to get it calibrate I think that's it.
