It's nice and bright. Will it last?
I just installed this on my snow blower today and it works well. It's really nice and bright. I don't know about the longevity though. My issue has been bulbs that blow out every year or so. I have it on a separate switch so I only use the light when I need it. So it isn't getting that much use. It just seems par for the course. I also ordered a set of pure white LED bulbs because I expect this bulb to blow in a year like all the others. The lead time on those bulbs is about a month through Amazon, so I really bought this just to get me through the short term.Pros -Bright light -Installed easily -Quick Amazon deliveryCons - Don't know about the longevity yet. Experience says it won't last more than a year.

They worked fine as a replacement for my Triumph light bar.
Not as directional as the original one, the light beam shape is not as even as the original. Brightness is about the same, but the light pattern is a little different. the original bulb (Au-Lite) has a consistent round beam of light, where this one is more like a mis-shapen splotch of light.I replaced one of the two lights in my light bar. I ordered 3 of these bulbs. It's been about 1 month or less, and one of these new bulbs is already out! It didn't really "burn" out like the original, the filament looks like it just broke at its base and is loose inside the bulb now. The original bulb has what appears to be thicker legs going to the filament. This replacement bulb has the same thickness legs as the filament itself. It might not be very rugged for a motorcycle with vibrations. I just put in the second of three, and we'll see if that lasts any longer. The other thing is these aren't actually the cheapest priced bulbs here. I found some genuine name brand ones one the web for even less.I would probably NOT buy these again, but I would chance another brand.

I hate halogen lights!
I give it 4 stars because it is what it says it is. It replaced the original bulb exactly. Only four stars because it is a halogen bulb, of which ALL are terrible. They don't last as long as other types, use a lot of power, and produce a LOT of heat. As soon as as I can find a reasonably priced LED replacement, the entire halogen fixture will go in the trash! Thanks for letting me vent, and, have a nice day!

Hella 35W driving light lamps
When I lost one of my driving lights, I replaced my 25W lamps with these 35W. These lamps offer a lot more visibility while still being kind to those driving at you and in front of you. The price at dealerships has been somewhere in the range of $20-$30. These were a great deal for the money. I purchased 3 of them so I could replace one if it was faulty, although I have had no issues with them and its now been 2 months since they've been installed. A great product and a great deal. I recommend purchasing a few extra for future use.

Not too bright, not too dim.
55w was too bright, kept having unscheduled conversations with the guys with flashing lights. 35w lights up the road without getting noticed. These are spares for the ones now on my bike. One burned out after only a couple months, the other is still working. Hopefully it was an exception to the high quality I expect from Hella.

Good quality and fits my 1988 car!
Perfect for my 1988 928 S4. No difference between the older light color and the new oneโwhich is good!

Driving lights for my Kawasaki
Low price, good quality light output. I bought a used Kawasaki Vulcan and the previous owner had used 55 watt driving lights. These were too powerful for the circuit he wired them to, and thus kept blowing the fuse. I bought these 35 watt lights and problem was solved. A very useful site to determine how many amps are being pulled is here: [..] Two 55 watt bulbs on a 12 volt system draw over 9 amps, while two 35 watt bulbs only draw only 5.8 amps.

quality at a low price
I find that bulbs have a somewhat shortened life span in the driving lights on my motorcycle due to being mounted on the front forks where vibration is high. Most auto parts stores carry H3 bulbs, but only in 50W, not 35W. I did find one local shop that had a few - at $23 each! Online, I found these at less than a tenth of that, allowing me to lay in a stock of extras for less than the inflated price of one bulb at the auto store.
