All I really needed from this device was to be able to run USB 3.0 devices from my MacBook Pro Mainly I wanted to connect an Apple DVD drive that doesn't have it's own power source. Unfortunately this hub won't run it. I thought, from the description, that the power output might be limited because it says you can't charge batteries through it, but actually I don't think there is any power available at all. In effect this means that overall usefulness of this device is very limited.I can see the problem from the manufacturer's point of view. If you made the device robust enough to allow four devices to either power themselves or charge themselves then either you would need to build in some sort of current limiting device, or you might risk overloading the computer.

Works fine so far. The type “C” plug that goes into your laptop or computer is my only concern. The more this gets used plugging/ unplugging the weaker it gets. I have had a few connection issues. If the design was more rugged and sturdy in this area I would give a 5 Stars review.

Bought this to use as extra usb ports on my laptop. I have mainly tried to use my keyboard and mouse. Only 2 ports actually work correctly and only one can be used at a time otherwise I have experienced either "sticky keys" on the keyboard or the mouse becoming increadibly sluggish.On the upside, power seems to come out of the ports as expected, however without being able to use more than 1 port at a time for data; it is fairly useless

The aluminum case is sleek and seamless...no plastic here. It is small and easy to carry in my briefcase. I also like that I can leave the Hub plugged in (and charging my Mac) while using the Ethernet, HDMI and USB ports. It is amazing how this small hub adds so much functionality to the Type-C Port. As devices get smaller, there is less room for input/output ports. This hub adds a lot of functionality.

.Just after receiving it, I opened it for trial use. Every interface has been tried. It's all normal and easy to use. Don't worry about the lack of USB port for notebook any more. With this, it's much more convenient and can be used on wireless in the future.

It's really practical. The material is thick and not easy to break. My USB is a USB interface, but my apple laptop is a type-C interface. This converter is very convenient to use, and the price is also cheap, small size and easy to carry. Highly recommended
