These hats are flimsy, do not protect the top of the hard,although they shield the eyes a little and protect the back of the neck For a man with a balding pate they offer no protection.Which is where a man needs protection when gardening or doing jobs out of doors.I would like to return them, but there is no local shop that can read the the instructions--the only drop off shop with the right reader is in another town entirely!Thus I have no way of returning something which we cannot use and which I had cancelled within minutes of it being orderered==however,as it still arrived,it was looked at and tried with the poor results mentioned above.

What a great product. Real cotton and in a ripstop weave for durability. It is indeed double layer material on the top and sides of the hat. This makes it an ideal candidate to take a waterproof fabric spray. Even without a fabric spray it kept my head dry in the rain. In the summer it will be fairly cool to wear and keep the sun/ heat off my head. It is indeed on the small side. But my head is on the smaller side for a man. So the hat fits me fine. If your head is on the larger size the hat will be too small. Who remembers Indiana Jones? Well this is kind of hat he would wear. Swashbuckling his way around the desert, defeating ne'er-do-wells, liberating holy relics and maidens in distress (or that dress). This is a great hat for the adventurer, buccaneer or desperado. If you are one of these, or perhaps all three, you should buy one of these hats.

I bought this hat to add to my wild camping gear. More for the summer months than winter, as it didn’t look particularly warming (it’s not really advertised for that purpose either). I have a large head and hats are usually a nightmare. But this fits perfectly and even better, with enough space to fit over my shemagh (but is not too wide without it) when used as a head covering, so it will actually be able to be warm year round.It looks the part, sturdy poppers to pin the brim up at either side, good sized strap and strong pattern. But crumpled from delivery, but I picked it up and hour ago and it’s already loosened up. I think with wear, this will soften up a bit.

I didn't expect great quality for the price, and I was right in my expectations but there's not really anything wrong with this product. It's cheap but it does the job. The material is thinner than more expensive hats, which you'd be mad to expect otherwise, and it does have a slight issue with retaining the creases/folds it has when it arrives - and presumably if you leave it folded for long - but did I mention it's a cheap hat? You get what you pay for, and this hat will do the job without costing £30+. I have a dog who likes to 'borrow' clothing so there's no point in me paying for a high end hat. I ordered two colours, an although the black hat is more or less the same as the photo (nothing is truly black), the brown hat I ordered was much darker than the photos. You can probably expect that with most colours. Would I buy another one: because of my dog I probably will!

My husband needed a hat like this to replace his very old and battered one. Whilst searching this hat seemed to fit the bill and we were impressed with choice of colours. It can be fastened up at the sides with a strong presstud, though I shouldn't think he will do that. When we travel to hotter sunnier climates he likes to keep the sun off his head and eyes. I hadn't realised it was coming all the way from China at such a reasonable price. It certainly fits the bill and arrived quite quickly. I cannot say how long it will last but at that price one holiday will be enough. Courteous sellers ,swift delivery ,product as described and a little key ring gift, what could we want. Thankyou.

I bought this hat to protect my head from the sun as most hats that I've tried don't suit me. This is exactly what I was looking for. It is well made and has a slightly rugged appearance. The draw string is very handy as I've lost a few base ball caps in high winds. It's design allows it to be packed when travelling. Luckily my head is the right size for the hat size. I probably wouldn't have bought it if it had been a different size to my head.

Great lightweight sun hat. Nice and strong but thin enough to not overheat. Has vent holes too. Brim good and wide and I like that it poppers up at the sides, shading just your face and neck. The chin cord is useful in windy conditions or for hanging the hat from your neck when not needed. My hat size is normally a 59cm and this fits perfectly.
