Cheap way to add bluetooth capabilities to faithful (old) wired headphones I can't let go of
Received today. Charged it up to full (blue light) and then proceeded with some quality tests using a pair of wired Bose headphones (the sound quality of which is very good, in my opinion), an iPhone X, and my Spotify app. Results may vary. There is less lag than I anticipated between button presses and phone response. The buttons are not overly easy to press, so I don't anticipate any annoying accidental song skips or call hang-ups. Sound quality is better than I expected, and volume is LOUD when fully charged and set to maximum volume. I left my phone at one end of my apartment and walked around to check for playback disruptions and there were none. However, the maximum distance I tested them at is far less than the ~50 feet that the manufacturer claims the receiver can handle. There was some noticeable quality loss compared to plugging my headphones into my phone via dongle, but it was not significant enough to bother me. The sound quality (with good headphones) is still better than most affordable headphones I would consider using for fitness applications. I can see this working nicely for running, bicycling, or similar. The unit is very small and lightweight. The clip works well and seems to grip strongly enough. The button controls are easy to use, intuitive, and (because of the clip) can be placed virtually anywhere on your clothing so long as there is a hem for the clip to grab. I also found that it was comfortable on the band of my watch.I rated down because the unit feels cheap (even considering the $14 price point). If you pick the receiver up and shake it, you can hear something moving around inside. The buttons don't feel particularly sturdy, and I can imagine a heavy-handed person could easily break the buttons by applying too much force. I assume it's just a matter of time before it breaks, but I'm crossing my fingers than I'm wrong. Additionally, the unit does not come with a plug to protect the charging port during use. On principal, this receiver ought to include *something* to prevent dust and light moisture (sweat, humidity, whatever) from getting into the charging port. Unclear whether that was an oversight by the manufacturer or a cost-saving move, but either way I'm not impressed. One final note: the unit cannot be used while charging, so it may not be ideal for someone hoping to use this for very long periods of time (e.g., as a part of your job) unless you are willing to stockpile a couple of these things and switch them out as needed. The user guide claims the receiver can be charged within 1.5 hours, so maybe that's not as much of an issue for some.At this point my plan is to figure out a method to temporarily block off that charging port during use, possibly using some electrical tape or by scrounging up a plug from some other device.

Good value for the price
UPDATE: I’ve had this for a few weeks now and while hardware is holding up well for the most part, the battery life seems to have dramatically decreased. The device only lasts a little over one hour from full charge. Makes this pretty much unusable for me now. I wish there was a way to disable the noise cancellation. That might have helped extend the battery life a bit. A shame... I liked the overall functionality. I am recommending to buy this device only for temporary use incase of emergency. But I think better options are out there at this point.Works mostly as advertised. Took multiple attempts to connect to my iPhone, but haven’t had any connectivity issues yet. The volume control could be more granular. I often find that the lowest setting a bit loud, but the next lowest setting is mute. Not a deal breaker but an annoyance. My final gripe is with the microphone quality. It can barely pickup my voice. I have to turn of to make phone calls or record audio of any kind. Otherwise the build quality is decent and definitely reasonable for the asking price. I’ve only had it a few days so can’t speak on durability. Time will tell. Overall a good value if you want to make use of existing earbuds on newer “aux-free” devices for listening to music.

Bluetooth pairing for W10: Delete old Bluetooth audio in W10 before pairing new. Works great.
We purchased this Bluetooth receiver/transmitter to use with headphones for zoom because the headphone jack on our Windows 10 laptop no longer worked reliably. The Apekx has worked out well. Pairing the unit with Windows10 was a breeze. One thing about Bluetooth accessories: you need to delete your previous Bluetooth /earphone headphones you have used before. Also, trying to use one Bluetooth appliance on more than one device doesn’t work, as I have discovered with other Bluetooth keyboards and earphones pairing with my iPad and iPhone.Think of it this way: Bluetooth is monogamous.I am no techie, but this has been my experience. When you think about it, it makes sense. You want your Bluetooth connection secure so that when you are using it, another device can’t eavesdrop on your connection. True for keyboards and true for audio.

A zillion times better than wireless headphones
I use this - and have used products like it forever - while I exercise (and watch football on the treadmill, or play XBOX on the elliptical). At some point the world decided that wireless Bluetooth headphones were a good idea; IMO this does not compute at all; why put a heavy battery on your head and pay a huge price in comfort when you can put the battery in your pocket and wear any pair of super-comfortable $10 headphones that you like?I vote for comfort. This product does what it's supposed to do, has had no problems with battery life, has stood up to sweat, and never loses its pairing.

Spiffy Little Thing
Definitely a nice little thing to have around for when you don't want to be tethered to your phone by an accursed headphone cord and wireless earbuds either just don't sound right for you, die too quickly, or just fall out of your ears. I get about six to eight hours of use on a full charge and the range of the bluetooth connection is nice. This model is also leagues better than a previous one in terms of latency. Previous model has around 1.3 seconds of latency which makes watching videos a nightmare but this unit has shortened it considerably to where, on some vids, it's near imperceptible. All in all, great device.

VERY HAPPY w THIS ITEM
I dunno what the buyers leaving negative reviews are using this for.... Im not saying they are wrong, but for my purpose it works SWEET. Connected no problem to my Google Pixel 2. I can lift weights at my gym with my phone set in a safe place and listen to XM Radio.... carrying a $13 item around a buncha rolling iron rather than a $700 phone. If I do drop a weight on it (bound to happen!) its not a great loss because Id Amazon a new one to me the next day! I should have done this a long time ago. No problems at all.
