Fixed my ol' Kill-a-watt, after I killed it, like others have said, use something to clamp on the leg, and leave the leg long to keep from burning them up on installation. It will fit, at least in the kill-a-watt without having to cut the legs at all.

Just the exact part I needed to repair the Kill a Watt power monitor. Its been my experience that all of these safety devices fail due to time and not over-temp. It's meant to go open circuit at 99 degrees C or 210 F. Will I'm 100% sure neither of those fail conditions occurred. So if your power monitor is dead then this is what you need. Along with the ability to remove the old one and re-solder this new one back in. Suggestion, when soldering it back on to the circuit board, grip the terminal your soldering with a pair of pliers to prevent the heat of soldering to travel up the lead and weaken or destroy the new one.

Worked great.......for any novices, take care when soldering. Too much heat or heat too long & they'll go open, as they should.

My Kill A Watt meter worked for about 6 weeks and then went dead. Replaced the thermal fuse with one of these and it is working perfectly now.

Good thing they pack three in there because I definitely faulted one just getting it too hot while soldering.I kept the next one cool and my kill-a-watt works well again.
