Immediate relief!
I would have given this mask 6 stars if I could. I have not had any eyes problems since my LASIK surgery 13 years ago. However, I recently started working night shifts and it wrecked havoc on my eyes. They became extremely dry and burning, and the puffiness and dark circles are getting bigger with each passing week. Unfortunately, I am not able to sleep well during the day, so I started using artificial tears and wanted something that would provide a cooling relief to my burning eyes. While I initially considered a mask with beads, I am so glad I bought this one instead. Actually, on advice of other reviewers I got two.I put them in the freezer for several hours and used one before bed that night when I was not working. It was soft and pliable when it came out of the freezer. It brought immediate relief to my eyes. Initially the mask was so cold that I had to take a few little breaks for my eyes and moved the mask to my forehead. It stayed cool long enough for me to fall asleep with it. So I disagree with other reviewers that state that the mask does not get very cool or does not keep its coolness for more than a few minutes. I did another session this morning with the second mask and there was no need to switch them as it maintained its coolness long enough for me. I really do not have patience to spend an hour with my eyes closed when awake. So 20 minutes sessions are all I need and one mask provides me relief for that long. However, I have no regrets for buying two, since I love it so much. The mask is very comfortable to wear all night and well made (in the USA, not in China). This is a high quality product that works and brings much needed relief immediately. There is an explicit warning not to get the gel insert wet but the cover is washable. I highly recommend this mask for eye troubles and headache relief.

AMAZING!!! Relief for temple, sinus, and eye headaches! Couple with Collar has reduced all types of my headaches by over 50%
I have had this product for three weeks. I was desperate after getting a sudden surge of headaches, including a 30 hour migraine. I was not sure the sudden cause of my headaches, but had sinus pressure and neck tension. I went to the doctor to see if I had any infections and I did not. She concluded I was having allergies and tension headaches.I got this product with the Elasto-Gel Cervical Collar. I got the eye mask in the mail first. I heated it up, (warning) is scolding hot even with instructions, but after a few minutes I put it on it relieved my headache within a few minutes and relieved the eye pain in the back of my eye. It was really relaxing.I was able to get my Elasto-Gel Cervical Collar a couple of days later. I woke up with a cranked neck and heated up the collar. The collar drapes over your back and attaches with a warm wrap around the neck and adjustable velcro strap. It relieved my tension headache within approx. 15 minutes. Since I have had both products, I used them everyday the first week I got them, now I am using them every other day, as my tension in my shoulders and neck have drastically improved since starting this therapy.Elasto-Gel Eye MaskPros:It works! Relieves eye pain, eye headaches.Works great for my migraines. I get auras I need dark room. I wish I had this 20 years ago for migraine relief.I sleep better.Stays heated for a long time. The weight of it feels really nice when lying down. The fabric is really smooth.Adjustable and stays on through the night even when turning sides.Cons:Really hot on lowest setting, Have to let it cool.Velcro strap can get caught in hair, be gentle when removing. (the strap is flat enough to lay on and not feel though)Do not use it in the microwave after cooking strong smelling food. The odor sticks to the fabric, which has to be washed.

Good for allergy relief, Great for toddlers
Very soothing for eyes affected by seasonal allergies and comfortable enough to wear as pictured. In our house this gets *by far* the most use by toddlers who demand "ice" after every little bump. It's not too cold for them to handle, and is much easier and less messy than wrapping up some actual ice. The durability has been excellent -- after a few years of use we only had to buy a replacement because it accidentally went into the washing machine. One star docked because it doesn't stay cold for very long. Not the product's fault, really, that's just the tradeoff for a soft gel hot/cold pack. But that's it's main job, so it can't get 5 stars. Otherwise perfect.

Unquestionably THE best mask for headache/migraine/etc pain relief
I’ve suffered from migraines & headaches since I was a kid; whenever the pain gets awful I take one of these masks out of the freezer & the coldness provides almost instant relief. The mask can get so cold and—crucially—*stay* cold for a long time to maximize the pain relief it provides before needing to be frozen again.I can’t speak to how the mask feels when using it warm, I only keep them in the freezer. They can get very cold which feels incredible when you have a headache or migraine especially—it feels like they numb the pain/pressure in your eyeballs/at center of your head. The pain relief is nothing short of sublime. These masks are nice quality & very durable; they have a bit of heft to them and they block out light better than any other mask I’ve tried. The mask is comfortable & the adjustable velcro strap allows you to get a perfect fit in seconds.BOTTOM LINE: this is the best temperature therapy mask I’ve found—none of the other similar products on Amazon come close to effectiveness, quality, comfort, etc. Those masks are all cheaply made & stay cold for <10min at the most. I’ve actually bought several of these the past couple of years because I like them so much & it’s great to have 2-3 to rotate out of the freezer when the pain is really bad so you can always have a perfectly cold mask for as long as you need.I really can’t recommend this mask enough for anyone who suffers from migraines or any kind of headaches (works great for hangovers!). I seriously just ordered another one earlier tonight to have in the freezer rotation (my sister stole some since she loves them as well) & I’m sure it won’t be the last time.P.S. the price can fluctuate a bit I but the ones I’ve bought were all in the $12-$15 range.

Quality eye mask
Nice mask, had to play with the time in the microwave - every one heats differently. Does what it promises, stays warm for a long time, elastic/Velcro band seems of good quality.

It is okay.
I like it, but it is not my favourite. But it helps before i go to sleep. I guess i wouldn't recommend it.

The best microwavable mask for dry eye problems
The best quality mask I have found for Blocked meibomian glands and dry eye symptoms - it is sturdy, lasts well (used twice a day every day) and comfortable. It is a far better product than the so called eye bags which leak dust through their fabric causing more problems than they are helping. The elastogel mask is a little expensive as it is an American product, which is probably why the price is a bit high (import taxes and all that!) - The only slight problem is you need access to a microwave (or conventional oven) to heat it, which is not always possible when travelling (NOTE: YOU CANNOT HEAT THIS ELASTOGEL MASK USING HOT WATER).If you need to travel, try the EyeSoothe Blepharitis Eye Mask With Heated Gel Pack and Hygienic Storage Bag which is a UK product, so is cheaper, and can be heated in a mug of boiling water, which is more convenient when travelling - as a kettle and mug is usually present in hotel rooms, can be carried in travel version or easy to source.
