Samsung Q90R (65 inch) Ultra HD 4K HDR 2000 Smart QLED Television (Black)

Only had this tv for 2-3 days and am still playing around with the settings. It's set up with a Sky Q box, Xbox and a Sony amplifier with an (old) Audica home cinema 5.1 speaker system.Initial setting up was an absolute breeze with the app on my phone. No problems with connections or sound syncing.Watching in SD is pretty good, HD is great, upscaling is quite impressive but UHD is stunning. I think with some more tinkering I can get it even better, or it may be worth getting a professional calibrator to work their magic.I have only briefly used the Xbox but that also looks so good!Would I recommend this tv? Absolutely! It's not cheap but it is damn good!

I didn’t read the Amazon reviews until after I purchased this TV and was a bit worried prior to delivery, but have been pleasantly surprised. Easy to set up, TV has a smart colour setting, remote is easy, haven’t had a problem with Netflix, Apple or Amazon apps and TV even has an app for phone. It’s only been 48 hours and I’m not the most demanding user but am really happy with purchase (screen also looks great for Nintendo Switch games for kids).

Picture quality great for movies and shows.On game mode, areas around the character looked blurry and had to tweak it to make it look good. Colours were not okay.HDMI ports stopped working a week after receiving it so I had to return it.

Excellent TV. Easy to set up. Picture looks great. Sounds great. Much better than our last TV.

The remote could have had just a couple of more functions, bit pricey but picture quality is just superb, TV speakers not great as most models so a good soundbar is recommended

I was expecting too much from QLED technology. QLED is just an enhanced LCD panel though with all the inherent shortcomings of LCD. When I ran this tv side by side to my 10+ year old FHD Panasonic plasma, it was by far beaten in every respect. The plasma had orders of magnitude better (cinematic) colour reproduction, realistic motion and viewing angles. I returned the TV and will stay happy with Plasma technology for a few more years to come. Most people do fell victims of Samsung's QLED marketing as I did unfortunately.

I bought this to upgrade my 55 inch Samsung Q9FN. I’d have bought the 65 inch version of that TV only it’s no longer available anywhere! Samsung have replaced it with the the Q90R. Anyway I set it up and spent 90 minutes on the phone with Samsung support because this thing wouldn’t recognise ANY of the things I plugged into it. Not my 4K player, my blu-ray player, or my DVR. In the end I hung up on Samsung support because it was obvious that the guy hadn’t a clue. Ignoring those issues I set about tweaking the picture and I spent several hours over a long weekend doing this. The end result was massive disappointment. No matter what I did I could not get the picture anywhere near as good as my Q9FN. When playing a 4K movie I got the bright scenes to be spot on! However the dark scenes were so dark I could barely see what was going on as most of the detail was lost in the darkness. When I tweaked the picture so the dark details matched that of my Q9FN the bright scenes all looked washed out. In the end I sent this monstrosity back. It ruined a long weekend and I couldn’t wait to see the back of it. Samsung if you read this start manufacturing the Q9FN again and drop this piece of cr.......
