A watch often overlooked, developed in secret in collaboration between the German government and Hanhart/Tutima. This Flyback 41 gauge chronograph is one of the most important chronographs in military history. Its production was from 1940 to 1949. Used in air combat during the war, German pilots were the only military fighters who had chronographs on their wrist, and the Flyback mechanism was an important technical achievement (and the first of its class). The Tutima Flieger Chronograph had extraordinary features: anti-magnetic and waterproof, domed acrylic glass, rotating bezel, luminescent material (radio) and the famous Flyback chronograph mechanism, which allowed you to reset the chronograph during operation. After the Second World War ended and Glashütte (Germany, Saxony) was in ruins, Russian troops dismantled the factories and moved all equipment and machinery to Moscow. Russian versions of this watch, but of "59 gauge", can be found in this post-war period, recognized by collectors as pieces of great Hisoric value. Some modern reproductions such as Hanhart Pioneer, Tutima Grand Flieger Classic Chronograph 6402 can be encoded. Today, the military concept of watches has attracted a great interest. What was ever wanted by the military collectors "hardcore" can now be found in many stores and can be bought in luxury watch brands, with very high value. Fans and collectors of historical military watches have put their goal in buying these watches with modern machinery.
