Pricey but for practice dummy rounds, its nice to have for training purposes of testing how your gun will handle in field without having to go in the field. I can operate around the corners of my living room or basement while loading the fake rounds and rushing in to confront my imaginary burglar/bear before *click, click*. Some guns like the over and under are recommended not to dry fire as it can weaken the spring so having these solves the safety problem and the practice without damaging gun problem. Great quality, color is nice to show fake from real. Speed is dependent on your moves and softness is as much as plastic would be. Thickness is like any other real 2.75 inch round and solid fit in my chamber.

Made from genuine quality Cheddite shot shell hulls so they function like the real deal and do not beat up your action. They have a nice open end, so you can insert your desired weigt, to customize them to replicate the shells you use on a regular basis. I would purchase these again.

It works but wish it had weight to it because it caused them to get stuck in the chamber do to them being so light weight.

These lightweight snap caps help better emulate spent hulls than the typical metal snap caps. Being made on realistic hulls, though, they are not indestructible. The shell stop in a tube-fed shotgun will deform the case head when the snaps rapidly advance in the tube every time you run the pump. A few deformations is fine, but eventually the edge of the rim will deform to the point that it may drag in the tube and cause an issue (especially problematic for a Mossberg shotgun with the spring unable to be relieved from the end cap like a Remington). I don't recommend using these from a full tube regularly. They're good for practicing reloads, but I would not routinely transition to a shooting drill afterward. Having only one in the tube and one in the chamber removes any risk of rim damage; having two in the tube means far less spring pressure is exerted on the one snap that will impact the shell stop. I also recommend numbering the snaps with a Sharpie or paint pen so you can keep track of which get too damaged to use. They have drawbacks, but I still think these are incredibly helpful products, especially with the quantity in which they can be purchased.

Durable. Works perfectly. No jamming. Good for practicing loading/unloading. Protects firing pin.

Too light. Too short. The primer area does not sit like a primer as there is an injection mold type plastic sticking out on 3 out 5 of the shells. 3 stars due to the fact I needed to get the plug out of a new 500 and even though I'd be 100% confident doing it by other means, I am trying to set a safe example for my family and these helped do that along with being an example as how to feed the mag tube. I had 20% success in cycling but once again,then they were useful for the demonstration of unloading the mag tube.

smooth, work as expected

Very good quality, and it doesn't mind to drop on concrete floor. It could be just me, when I try to load them fast, sometimes is not as smooth as I would hope for. The shell is slightly shorter than 2-3/4, I can hard push the 6th one into a Moss 88 5 rounds tube, then have to get it out slowly by hand~not gonna happen to 2-3/4 anyway

Arrived ahead of expected delivery date but unfortunately three of the five dummy cartridges brass sections were slightly damaged. I suspect the brass is extremely soft and prone to marking or damage but for the price I did expect perfection and if I hadn’t needed them urgently I would have returned them but I used the two good ones and I don’t know what I will do with the other three.

Great for practice. Load, unload, dry fire and cycling pump shotgun.
