Poetry-On-A-Stick
What a lovely incense! The Japanese are known for the quality and attention to detail of their products. This product breathes culture, honor, and beauty. As you might expect, the box, the sticks, the wrapping are well-crafted, well thought out, aesthetically pleasing in their visual balance, without being cliche. The sticks burn for about 30 minutes, just long enough to meditate and to perfume the air. The smoke is delicate and minimal. I don’t really know what Sandalwood smells like; every manufacturer appears to have its own take on the scent, but my impression is that it’s a forthright scent. It is a delicate scent. I actually ended up purchasing this incense in reaction to the Indian incense I’d been burning. I liked their Nag Champa scent, but the sticks shed a sawdust substance whenever I pulled a stick out of the box, and they smoked like a first time father pacing a waiting room. The smoke quickly filled my meditation space and the scent, instead of enticing and mysterious, simply bullied my olfactories in a cloying way. Maybe if I had a larger space, they’d be ok. At any rate, I’m enjoying the more delicate nature of this incense, both physically and spiritually. Meditation is a gentle art. I feel that the scents used in the practice should reflect that delicacy and gentleness. This incense fits that bill. My personal use of incense is far more spiritual than utilitarian. If I want to cover up odors, I’ll use Lysol. When I meditate, my prayers rise on the incense. The scent creates spaciousness and sets a mood. Again, this incense fits that bill. For me, the scent whispers an earthy, musky scent, with the barest whisper of floral sweetness — very well balanced with the dryness of the palate. It does not smell woody to me, but it does evoke something of tree leaves. It lifts the spirit and evokes reflection and mystery. Well worth the very reasonable price.

Perfect Meditation Companion
Perfect, nothing left over to throw away, all ash that can be used later, smells terrific, sweet, pleasant not overpowering, doesn’t smoke too much, haven’t measured burn time, but I would say less than an hour, love this one, repeat purchaser for years now. Great for my morning meditation.

Product is as advertised.
I was tired of flower and fruit scented air fresheners that sucked out the manliness of whatever room it was sprayed in and wanted something that smelled more masculine, yet wouldn't be overly offensive towards any female company I might have. This fit the bill perfectly. I'd never really had to describe smells before, but UHHHHH I'LL TRY--- It was masculine, yep, definitely was. Morning star definitely got that right. Very woody. Would be easy for someone who had no knowledge of the product to pick up the 'flavor' of sandalwood in the air. I would not call the smell subtle, it has a nice, strong presence, but it isn't the overbearing, nausea-inducing, in your face, and just straight gross smell of cheaper incense. I've had friends who 'hate' incense, because their only experience with incense come from the aforementioned cheap products, compliment and even ORDER Morning Star incense. It does not mingle with other smells, but covers them up. Very good for after cooking, and a great benefit in making my more 'recreational' smoking habits a little more discrete. All descriptions aside, it's something that really needs to be smelled to understand (probably the weirdest sentence I've ever written). Burn time is highly satisfactory at around 30 mins. I didn't expect that and was very (pleasantly) surprised. It comes with a little ceramic square incense holder. It kinda/sorta sucks, and would probably thrown out instantly by incense 'aficionados,' who'd favor their incense holders, but for my needs it was fine. I just use the ceramic holder on top of a china plate and that works as my set up quite fine. I live 'far away' relatively speaking, so it takes a week or so to get here and the shipping rate is higher than the actual price of the product. Not really the company's fault, it's just something I have to deal with ALL the time. Anyways, with that said, the product arrived in immaculate condition. I've ordered this a total of three times and have seen damage on the packaging only ONCE. The damage was purely superficial and the sticks were always in perfect condition, regardless of the package's appearance. Simply a great product, and this is the only 5/5 review I've ever given for a product, and a rating I can give comfortably.

LOVE!!!
Morning Star makes my favorite incense. I have enjoyed all the scents they have available and have purchased multiple times. They have a wonderful scent and burn smoothly. I like that they include a little tile incense stick holder with each package. Great for gifting.

Best sandalwood incence that is not synthetic.
The product uses the same manufacturing process as the much expensive units. Same process means it uses similar materials (albeit lower cost), but the quality is leaps better then the East Indian or other south east asian counterpart. For the price you are getting a quality product with consistency, meaning each stick delivers quality scent and duration each and every time. The sandalwood in this product is in my sense a true or the closest replication of the original. Hands down, best quality for the money.

Sandalwood Morning Star: A Delicate Delight for the Senses
Well, let me tell you about this delightful find from Nippon Kodo. The Morning Star Sandalwood incense sticks are a serene and soothing addition to any space. You know, the scent of sandalwood can be quite enchanting, and these sticks deliver that essence in a truly captivating way. I tend to think that the packaging is elegant and inviting, perfect for both personal use and as a thoughtful gift for someone who appreciates the finer things in life. Now, let's talk about the sticks themselves. They're quite slender and beautifully crafted, which is a testament to the craftsmanship that goes into each incense. However, I do have to say that they're a bit delicate. You know, when you're lighting them, you have to be a bit more careful than with thicker sticks to avoid breaking them. It's a bit of a balancing act, but the end result is worth it. The smoke that rises from the incense carries a gentle, warm aroma that fills the room, creating a peaceful ambiance. One thing to keep in mind is to be mindful of your surroundings. I've actually had a few close calls where the sticks were knocked over and broke. So, it's a good idea to place them in a secure holder or stand to prevent any accidents. Speaking of stands, they're also quite important. You know, there's a specific stand that comes with the incense, and it's designed to catch the ash and keep the room tidy. But, if you're not careful, you might accidentally throw it out, thinking it's just another piece of trash. Trust me, it's not something you want to do, as it's meant to be used for the incense's ash. In my experience, the scent of sandalwood has a calming effect, perfect for moments of meditation or simply to create a tranquil atmosphere. The Morning Star incense sticks are no exception. They offer a meditative experience that helps to clear the mind and enhance focus. I've even found that they can help to reduce stress and anxiety, which is a huge plus in today's fast-paced world. Overall, I would highly recommend the Nippon Kodo Morning Star Sandalwood incense sticks. They're a beautiful and calming addition to any home or office. Just be sure to handle them with care and keep your house cleaner on alert about the special stand. With a little attention to detail, you'll be able to enjoy the full benefits of these exquisite incense sticks.
