Cheap, basic little phone that does exactly what I need it to do.If you read lot of reviews on Amazon, it can be tricky to find a phone at this price point that is compatible with 3G networks. I have installed a Smarty 3G SIM card and the phone works great. Smarty utilises 3's network.

I've bought several dumb phones for elderly relatives this year. The 2038x Alcatel is easily the best value for money at around £20. The screen is bigger than most, the interface is simple and logical, the phone is fully featured but easy to use, the handset is a good size in the hand; most are a little too small. Also this one works on 3G, so practically all SIMs work in it.

Poor battery life, but good value for money.

The unfortunate thing about this phone is that my SIM didn't fit, which is very disappointing. The phone itself is light and a good size, I tested it with a different SIM and it seems easy to use.

I bought this as a backup phone and its OK for the price. It came as new in packaging which was great. Unlocked as well works on any network too. I tried various dims and all worked. Sound is a bit nasty but can't complain.

This phone suits me fine it's just so easy to use I am an old age pensioner. and it's so uncomplicated to use love it !I had an alcatel great phones !

This is the worst item I’ve ever brought! The phone will not work on 3g. Got for my father who is in a care home not local.the phone only works as a 2g so from the time I gave it to him I was not in contact at all because he is in a wheelchair and can’t get outside for signal.Total waste of time and money. Now purchased a pay as you go from argos works great...Haven’t sent back because it will cost more in fuel than the phone cost to go and get!

Keeps defaulting to voice mail 90% of time call attempted. Recently had phone examined by O2 with whom I have account. Technician tried on 4x occasions on one visit to rectify problem but problem persists. Not recommended.Will not buy again. Very disappointing. I shall never buy this make again. Would expect refund of within return period.

Téléphone de base assez pratique pour un enfant. En revanche attention ! Il est 100% en anglais et la langue ne peut pas être changée ! Par ailleurs bien que la boîte annonce des jeux Gameloft, il n'en a aucun (pas plus mal pour un enfant mais bon).Plus gênant, les comptes MMS et wap etc. sont preconfigures pour un opérateur britannique sans possibilité de changer. Il accepte donc toutes les cartes Sim en tout cas ok avec free mobile mais vous ne pourrez pas envoyer de photos, ni en recevoir et vous ne pourrez pas utiliser le navigateur internet (qui cela dit doit être totalement inutilisable, trop dépassé).

Bewertung nach 5 Tagen; Akku und Akustik gut, muss aber noch nächste Woche testen, wie3G funktioniert. Handy ist leicht und Tasten haben guten Druckpunkt. Radio + Taschenlampe auch prima. Aktualisiert wird in einigen Monaten.

It’s okay mobile but the battery life is terrible.
