This is THE BEST product you will ever purchase for your athlete. I know because it changes my life, and I’m not exaggerating. Here’s how this went down. When I say that my son’s soccer cleats smelled like death, I mean we once tore the laundry room apart looking for the rodent we assumed had died, only to discover that he had started putting his cleats on the shoe rack in there and the smell was coming from them. It was a mix between rotting flesh and cat spray and it once made a pregnant woman vomit. (It was me. I was the pregnant woman.) We could even smell them when they were on his feet! There were many frustrating evening of family members being disgusted with the stinky cleats and him being bummed because he was doing everything he could to mitigate the stench. Ultimately, his cleats had to be kept out in the corner of the garage. New cleats only smelled ok for the first two weeks because he was practicing/playing in them about 25 hours a week. For years we tried deodorizing sprays, odor eater balls, special bags, fans, etc. His feet and other shoes DO NOT stink; just the cleats. I had resorted to soaking them in beach every couple of weeks just to survive the stench. Then I found these deodorizer bags. *And my life changed.* It probably took two days for them to COMPLETELY eliminate the stench. And by ”two days” I mean he put them in at night after practice and took them out the next day to practice, X2. And *poof.* The smell was just GONE. These bags don't just cover it up. They completely remove the stench. There’s no mixing of the smell of death and the smell of deodorizers, which is what usually happened with the sprays and “smelly balls,” as we call them. They do have a faint smell of chlorine, which you can really only smell if you sniff directly into the shoe (which I can do now with NO TRACE of stench), or if the bags and the shoes are enclosed in his soccer bag overnight. It isn’t overpowering. Just slightly noticeable on occasion. He’s been using the same deodorizer bag in each shoe for months and they smell as fresh and nice as brand new cleats! I’ve purchased another pair for my younger son as well, plus some extras to store away in case someone discovers this amazing product and destroys the company to make us all suffer with the stench and the far inferior alternative deodorizers. This is the closest thing to a miracle I’ve ever personally witnessed. This is undoubtedly the most impressive, useful, and functional product I’ve ever bought from Amazon (or at all) for my athlete, and I honestly can’t think if any other product I’ve ever purchased that lives up to its design or intended purpose as well as this one does. I will never stop suggesting these deodorizer bags to other athlete families. Bonus, it’s ridiculously cheap and works longer than even advertised, which is amazing when you’re already paying an arm and a leg for fees and equipment. If you also suffer from the stench of an athlete’s cleats, I highly suggest you order a pack of these and PUT AN END TO YOUR SUFFERING!

I work 12 hour shifts on my feet, and my sneakers were starting to stink up the cabinet where I keep my work stuff. These shoe deodorizers have completely solved that issue for me. As others have said, they do have a smell similar to bleach, but I much prefer that over stinky feet smell. Also, the bleach smell does not linger once you remove them from the shoes. My work bag (that lives right next to the shoes in a closed cabinet) does not end up smelling like the shoe deodorizers. Overall, these work very well, were affordable, and I would buy them again.

My mudroom doesn’t smell like a boy’s locker room anymore. I honestly had low hopes for this, but it actually works pretty good but almost smells like bleach sort of, but it’s not strong. You can only smell it if you’re like putting your nose to it. I put it on my son‘s soccer shoes and even after I take them out of his soccer shoes if they’ve been in there for a couple days, his shoes don’t smell anymore.. so we will definitely be purchasing these again. Let’s see how long they last.

If you've battled stubborn shoe odor, this deodorizer does the job—and does it well. After months of dealing with unpleasant smells in my volleyball shoes, I finally decided to try this, and I’m impressed with the results. The good news: It effectively eliminates odor rather than just masking it. Within a few days of using it, the my nasty feet smell was completely gone. My shoes feel fresher, and there’s no lingering unpleasantness. However, there’s a catch which was the initial scent. For the first few days, expect a strong chlorine-like smell. It’s noticeable and might remind you of a swimming pool, but thankfully, it fades after about a week or two. It’s a temporary downside, but in my opinion, it's worth it for the long-term freshness. This is my first purchase of this so I'm not sure when the time is to replace with another pair but I'm about 2 months in for using it. If you’re looking for a powerful odor remover, this is a solid option. Just be prepared for the brief chlorine phase before your shoes smell completely fresh again!

I got the first one close to 3 months ago to check if it works and trust me this kills the smell of stinky shoes. I have sweaty feet and this really helped to keep the shoes smelling fresh. I have tried several products but they make the shoe smell funkier. But this deodorizer obliterates the smell and helps the shoe stay fresh. I love these soo much that I think I have bought 5 of them to date.

Works well. Appears to be silica gel and the like. Makes sense to dry out shoes.

UPDATE: Its been 3.5 months of using these pouches in my work shoes. They worked incredibly at keeping all scent away. It was only this week that I noticed an unpleasant odor return to my shoes. So I can confirm that these lasted for 3.5 months in my shoes. They are a little pricey but they work so well that I will order another pack. ------------------------- I wear my shoes for 8 hours, 5 days a week for work. My feet would sweat and over time this sweat led to bad smelling shoes. It got to the point where I could smell my own shoes when sitting at my work desk, so I needed a change. I've tried shoe deodorizing sprays and powders, and have used home made deodorizers with baking soda and scent beads. Ive also tried washing my shoes, but the smell always returns in a short period of time. These pouches were a little pricey compared to other things I've tried, so I was hesitant, but I saw all the positive reviews and gave it a try. I have been using these in my work shoes for 3 weeks. They have COMPLETELY resolved my stinky shoe problem. I put them in my work shoes after my work day and leave them there until the next morning. During my work day, the pouches are switched to my outside shoes. Both do not stink! So that's a good value that it can be swapped between multiple pairs. I would highly recommend these for stinky shoes. Some people complain about a chlorine smell. I've had a pool for many years of my life and you get used to that smell. These pouches smell nowhere close to the strength of pool chlorine. The scent is really mild and does not bother me at all.

I had an old pair of climbing shoes that smelled awful. I tried everything—washing them, deodorizer sprays, even sealing them in a bag of baking soda in the freezer. Nothing worked. When I bought new climbing shoes, I picked up these deodorizer packs to keep them fresh. They worked perfectly—my new shoes never even had a chance to develop odors. Out of curiosity, I tried them on my old, smelly pair. Within a day, the odor was VASTLY reduced, and within a few days, the smell was completely gone. The packs do leave behind a faint chlorine-like scent, which is strongest while they’re actively working, but it’s subtle unless you stick your nose right in the shoe. 10/10 would recommend, and have recommended it to a few of my friends.
