I Spy A to Z: A Book of Picture Riddles

It came quickly and was in great shape! I like the book. I have all the I Spy books.

These books are a lot of fun and provide a nice mixture of easy and hard. As part of our nightly bedtime routine, my 7 year old daughter and 3 year old son and I look at these or the Waldo books prior to reading every night. I appreciate the fact that there are items challenging enough for me and my daughter to find, yet my son isn’t excluded or left feeling like he can’t find anything because there are enough items for him to easily spot too. We own several of them now and my children do not get bored with them when we stick to this routine. I also really enjoy the artwork and every night there’s a new learning opportunity when I get to point out objects or teach them the purpose of some of the objects in the drawings that we wouldn’t otherwise see in our daily lives. (Example: a thimble.) To me this is a fantastic way to combine fun with learning because they walk away with at least a few new words every night, and they have a visual to go along with each of them. They love looking at the pictures, and I love looking at them while teaching them at the same time. It’s a vocabulary lesson every night disguised as pure fun! I will continue purchasing these until we probably acquire each one because they add fun and learning, and always generate an interesting dialogue into what can sometimes be an otherwise monotonous bedtime routine!

Our grandson loves this book, he loves looking for all the hidden objects.

This book was always a favorite of my children who are now in their 30's and 40's. Now I'm buying it for my grandchildren who also love it.

I wanted a spy book for my child to look for words that start with each letter of the alphabet. This book only has a few items on each page (like 5 or 6) and a bunch of other unrelated objects to go along with the theme of the page. Disappointed. Returning. For the huge book size, they could have developed better pages and put 20 items that start with the same letter to make it educational. It reads like a poem book with a few rhyming words that start with the same letter on each page. Waste of money for educational purposes.

For many of the search for objects books a child has to be able to read or be read to in order to know what objects to search for. The I Spy books have both a picture and word for the searches. I purchased this book for my 4 and 7 year old grandsons so the 4 year old searches by the picture and the 7 year old can search by the word. Benefits both.

I love I Spy books! They were one of my favorites growing up. I got this for my niece when she was 6 and it was perfect for her. Not too hard, not too easy. Really fun to play! I have bought more I Spy books after this one and will continue to purchase them!

My kids love it

I enjoyed the first i spy book I encountered.it was of a quality I hadn't seen before..charming scale model settings with a quirky population and props.However on buying the entire series I was crushed to find that most of the other books are merely 'rehashes' with some flat lazy layouts.All in all my advice is try the Treasure Hunt book..forget about the rest if you care about quality.

This is an excellent book to improve children's vocabulary while playing I spy game. I highly recommend it.

This is a much simpler book than others in the series and could be used by bright two year olds with some adult help. It might be good to indicate this difference in the documentation provided.
