I've Never Been Happier, but...
What's not to love about the Sirius SP-TK2 Sportster Replay Satellite Radio with Car Kit.Terrestrial radio will always have its place, but after having Sirius for 8 months, I will never go back and appreciate this unbelievable service. No more scanning for programming on the road. There are so many choices and most are basically commercial free. The Sportster has a 40 minute cache, so if you step out of your car and keep the unit on, you can rewind and pick up where you left off. I believe leaving the unit on over night will drain the battery. Beware. My unit is installed on the windshield/dashboard. Set up was easy. Running the antenna wire from the dash to the trunk was the only obstacle, but not a deal breaker. It's a simple installation.Esthetically, it would be nice to have the unit built in. This was not an option for me.I purchased a Cigarette Lighter Splitter (google search) so I can charge my cell phone at the same time. The reason for 4 stars...Sirius customer service is the absolute WORST. THE WORST. In my past experiences: They don't know the product. They can't assist you on installation. They're uneducated. They can't answer questions. They know how to ask for your name and account number. Beyond that, good luck. Put aside some time to wait on hold and be prepared to ask for a supervisor.Howard has never been better. CNN. Traffic. Weather. Any format of music at a touch of a button. I promise, you'll never go back. The service is worth every penny.

Great Little Radio
The Sportster Replay is a great little satellite radio and I highly recommend it. It has more feature than most anyone would use, but there cool, especially the NFL game alert, if you want to spend the time to set it up. Getting the radio up and running takes less than 5 minutes. The sound quality is very good, but it's a function of how good your existing car speakers are and how you connect to your existing car radio. A hard wired connection is best, but for quick installation I use the units internal transmitter to broadcast wirelessly the Sirius programing directly to my car radio. You simply set the Sportster to an un-used station for your area. I liked this radio so much, I bought a second one for my wife. She loves it too. The reason I gave the Sportster 4-stars, not 5 is there are a two flaws with the design. First, the suction cup mount doesn't work. It's a cheep design and loses suction quickly. Save yourself some frustration and either hard mount it or just set it on the center console. To mount it, all you'll need is 2 screws, the docking cradle has mounting attachment holes already. The second flaw is the car power adapter. It's cheeply made. Both of mine went bad within two weeks. I thought the problem was with the in-line fuse, but it was a break in a wire inside the 12v power plug. I bought a new 12v power cord from Radio Shack ($9) and the radio has worked flawless since October.

Upgrade from the PNP3 and Original Sportster
This is the receiver you want if you want an upgrade from the PNP3 or Original Sportster. For sportsfans who had the orgiginal sportster, this is the one you want. It not only allows you to pause your listening for up to 45 minute, but allows you to pick up to 20 alerts for NFL, NBA, NHL or college sports teams to alert you when the game starts/ends and gives a beep each time your teams scores. Sirius no longer makes PNP radios, so you must go with the Sportsters now...and it is an upgrade with the abiliy to pause and such.I won't go into debates of XM and Sirius. That's something only you can decide. But what I will say is for those who have reception issues, I say to get the Sirius TERK SIR-6 antenna and make sure it's facing the proper direction (towards North Dakota), and as high up as possible with no obstructions. Also you can use up to 3 fifty foot extension cables (TERK SIR-EXT) (again I use TERK brand for everything) and it can all be gotten here at Amazon. The negative is that some of the people complain of the lights on the numbers not burning bright or the screen going. For this I say when you get your sportster, leave it on for 48 hours straight, then off for 24 hours. Then when you power it up, if it works good, chances are you have a good unit. Press all the buttons and all, try everything out. This allows you to "put it through a marathon" so that the unit gets all heated up good, then allowed to cool down, then powered up again. And if it's a bad unit, get a replacement within the 30 days. Also, don't forget you need (if you want to use it at home) either the Sportster Boombox (Sirius SP-B1) to go with this, or the Executive Desktop (Sirius SP Dock-1) or the stereo connection kit. For a car, it comes with everything needed. And for home, it comes with a cool remote that allows you to sit back and flick the channels and volume from across the room!

Sirius Sportster review
I can only rate in the house as have not used in car yet. By the way have been advised though it will play in car through plug and carry it will not be digital sound unless you have receiver designed for satellite Sirius reception and hardwired into it but can carry between car and house as Sporster sits on top. The sound in the house is good. I had one problem which is mostly my house. Where stereo is the window nearest is not North to Northwest and is too far under eaves to pickup so had to buy additional 50' antennae. One thing that could be better the additional antennae and is 18 gauge and is thicker than original which should give better reception. sirius says you can put antenna on roof but people who install locally say over time weather hurts the antennae. It plays good now. Due to satellite moving occassionally you may need to move marginally antennae. Power bars on unit are 1,2 or 3 powers. 1 plays. 2 is pretty good and 3 is best. I usually get 2 but in a better location probably could get 3.
