These K3 slider is designed with DSLR film making in mind, however they will support loads up to 20kg. They will enable you to produce beautifully smooth, gliding footage.Low friction is essential when doing very slow tracking or macro work. Using a roller bearing slider such as this one will prevent stuttering, jerky movement at slow speeds, or when starting movement from a standstill.The slider can be used in any orientation, including upside down, or even vertically. This allows you to get shots similar to those of using a small jib. The detachable legs are useful for operating the unit on a table top or directly on the floor, keeping the level low to the ground. The legs are highly adjustable, so even highly irregular bumpy rock surfaces are not a problem for the slider. If you prefer to mount your slider on a tripod, this is also possible using one of the three threaded attachment points along the slider. You can even detach the legs, and use one of those screw threads to mount to a tripod in the vertical position. Another great feature of this slider is the ruler which runs along the entire length of the slider. For repeating shots, this ruler helps keep track of the movement range. It is also helps if pulling focus while sliding, e.g., racking to focus point 2 at 40cm, then back to focus point 1 at 60cm. Inevitably, any slider will over time build up dust and grit on the rails.
