ColumbiaMen's Newton Ridge Plus II Suede Waterproof Hiking Boot

Great boots, I own 6 or 7 pairs of them. They are comfortable, waterproof and fit as expected. I will be buying more in the future.

Searched a long time and tried on a bunch of different brands and styles for a walking/work boot. The Columbia boots are really comfortable. Fit is right on so buy your normal size. Toe box is big enough if you have narrow arch and wide toe area. Good traction and no slip on floors like in a school.Only negatives would be that I cannot drive my stick shift Camaro due to the tight footwell in my car and the boot does not breath much. Your feet will be VERY warm. Get a good breathing sock if you plan to wear these in warmer weather.

I like the color, and they look great. Keep you warm and dry. Built to last.

After wearing these boots for close to 4 months now (weekly use), I can say they are both well made and comfortable. As a hiking boot they are solid and the laces are sturdy.However, I've only given three stars because they are advertised as waterproof, when they certainly are not. Even walking through wet grass you can feel the moisture creep in through the juncture of the sole and boot.All in all, I'd recommend these boots to anyone looking for a good, fairly priced hiking boot as long as they don't need it to be truly waterproof.

I cannot understand why there are negative reviews for this product. I saw them but decided to order considering that I had 30 days to return them. I wouldn’t dream of returning them or buying any other boot. They are the real deal, waterproof, comfortable, and reasonably priced.

Seem to be nice well made boots but i think run a bit small for at least a US size 10.5 Men's. They're not comfortable for me. Also concluded that these are mostly for wilderness or trail hiking because the tread with it's relatively few but surely effective knobs / lugs will not last long over urban terrain / pavement. Those things will certainly wear down fast over hard or abrasive surfaces.

I use these for hiking in the Superstition Mountains in Arizona. They fit me well and last one season of hiking. This pair replaces the pair I got last season.

They seem to be just right in manufacturing and quality. Seem just a little big in length but I don’t mind, it allows for a second sock as I prefer most of the time. A similar pair of Merricks did not fit well with 2 socks.

The Columbia Newton Ridge Plus II hiking boots were a comfortable perfect fit fro the moment I put them on. I have worn the boots and hiked everyday since they arrived and they provide excellent comfort and support with minimal foot fatigue. The boots make hiking an even more pleasurable experience. I cannot recommend than highly enough.Delivery was as predicted at time of order; exceptional service.

I primarily use this to get to and from work. My walk consists of walking on concrete and asphalt (and some grassy/snow ground) to the streetcar in the morning (6 mins) and another few mins to walk to work. These boots are comfortable, warm and protect against snow and water, and have a great grip on slippery surfaces. Exactly what I wanted and looking for. Bonus for great style +++++

Multi use boot for all seasons. one month since purchase and contented so far...
