Brookstone MiniMax Tower Desk Fan

We went on a fan spree for our office after the air stopped working repeatedly. For smaller spaces we tried out the MiniMax and Vornado VFAN Vintage Whole Room Air Circulator, Green. Both are awesome fans.The most amazing thing about this in particular is the tower shape and the quietness. The form of this fan is great. It tucks nicely in a corner, on a bookshelf, or ledge. You could even put it on your desk as you work. It oscillates and has really appropriate speeds. Low is perfect for a small room or office, Med & High are better for larger spaces.On oscillate, it has a really nice breezy feel. It's not like an old-school oscillating fan where when it's pointed at you you feel a gust of air, then nothing. It is much more subtle. It you're looking for a gusty breeze, this probably won't do it for you. If you are in an office with papers around, this on low does the job perfectly.The most amazing part is how quiet it is. We had bought ZT computers from Costco that had CPU Cooling fans much louder than these. In an office, with a computer running, the fan blends into the background and is hardly even noticeable. The VFAN while it created much more circulation was much louder.If you're looking for a quiet, subtle, breezy fan for a smaller space this really is worth the money.

Love this fan. Central heating and air never quite gets the temperature to my liking. I put this fan under my desk and I can finally regulate the temperature with easy. The fan is quiet and the multi speed and timer are outstanding features. You never have to wonder if you turned off the fan before leaving the office. I would highly recommend this fan to everyone.

Very disappointing. Not sure what accounts for all the great reviews, but I've felt more air flow from someone blowing me a kiss. SO weak. For the price it really should blow with much greater force, particularly at the highest fan setting. May as well hire someone to stand next to you waving a magazine at you.

This fan is a classic example of you get what you pay for. Its expensive in comparison to others but is a quality product. The fan is whisper quiet on all speeds and moves more air then one would expect. The switches are high quality and work with precision. It looks and feels quality. I looked for a fan that had a timer so I could set it to turn off when i wanted. I found only a few hence my desire to spend more money to get the features I desired. All in all I am happy with my purchase of this well engineered fan.

Quiet, but not much power to it. Good as a desk fan while a/c is running.

The reviews said this was the quietest desk fan for a small office (i an on the phone all day, in a tiny, echoey office, so quietness was my number one factor i was searching for). Reviews said it was good and strong airflow, but i was woefully disappointed othis front. Hey, i guess it can't blow too hard, if it's that quiet, right? I don't very much reccommend it. It's ok. But nothing special, cooling-wise.

Although most costly than most box fans and oscillating fans this unit is worth it because it's so quiet. I'm using it in my bedroom and the MiniMax Tower's footprint is so small it's never in the way. I would highly rate this product for solid build construction and attractive design. It helps cut the cost of electricity my maintaining airflow.

The fan is very quiet as stated and works well. I have had a lot of coworkers not even realize its on my desk. The only issue I have noticed is that even though the front is a full grille, there are only openings in the two right side panels. The two left side are where the motor and fan cylinder are housed. It is not an issue, but just something to be aware of.
