For normal use by adults, these speakers work fine with plenty of capacity to reproduce quality sounds at levels beyond my needs.I want news, weather reports, and some music when I fish alone, and these do a fine job for me. I don't need monster wires and amps for my usage.They were well boxed, and in excellent condition. Easy to mount, with screw hole templates provided.I'm satisfied with them for my use, and believe any person 30 or over will find them fully satisfactory for normal, everyday listening.If you want unbearable highs, and bass lows that vibrate your boat, get some Bose speakers, a 500 watt amp, and say goodbye to several hundred bucks.Personally, I'm not out on the lake to entertain other boats, and I don't want my internal organs liquefied with sound waves.I'd recommend these as a good value for the price range I wanted for my tiny boat and limited budget.

For the money, these speakers are great! No, they aren't a set of Infinity component speakers, but if that's what you're looking for, you wouldn't be looking at these. The outside speakers on my camper sounded like crap, so I was looking for a cheap replacement since they don't get that much use. I paid $7.80 for these as an Amazon warehouse deal. I couldn't tell that the package had ever been opened, as is the case with a lot of Amazon warehouse deals I get. I had to open up the hole about 1/8" all around on the front, and cut the hole the rest of the way through the wall to get the speakers to fit. They are mounted under the sink and behind the fridge, so this wasn't an issue in my application. They are a solid 1/2" deeper than the old speakers because the magnet is much bigger.

They fit into the holes in the boat perfectly. They were very easy to install, but did not have stainless steel screws etc. As we live on salt water, we went and got stainless steel screws etc. The sound, though not professional, is great on the water. We can hear the radio while riding with the sound and understandable.Great product especially for the price!!! Will buy again if ever needed.

purchased these speakers to replace the ones on the outside of my travel trailer, cost was cheap enough so I didn't expect great sound, but I was wrong, for the cost of the speakers I am very impressed. also be aware that these speakers are deeper than the original speakers for the wall of a trailer so I purchased the 1/2 inch rings metra-82-4400 that mounted easily and I used window putty between the ring and the trailer wall to stop vibration noise, then mounted the speakers, I siliconed the top 3/4 s of the ring and speaker to stop the rain from penetrating behind the speaker. tested with garden hose, and the sound all good.

Installed the speakers in the exterior wall of my 5th wheel, to replace the old ones. Sound good, look good, but they are a bit larger in diameter than the old ones so I had to enlarge the holes a bit....not a big deal but had to rotate the speakers since the screw holes didn't align either. Also, they are a bit deeper than the stock ones. I had to chip away at some of the wall foam insulation to make it fit. All side, they installed okay and work well. So they are a good value purchase. I don't know about durability yet, but they've held up to a couple of good rain storms.

Installed this pair of speakers inside the cabin of a 25' sailboat using homemade speaker boxes (about 7x7x4 using 1/4" oak) and after hooking them up to a marine stereo (Clarion M275), they sound very nice. With the stereo volume set to 1 out of 33 you can hear them just fine if there's no outside noise! We didn't go louder than volume level 13 even with the motor running as it would have been way too loud. We've only had these installed for a month, but since both components are "marine" we expect them to last for a long time.

Replaced our sock Jensen marine speakers on our trailer. Speakers work great! $20 for two speakers, can't beat that! One thing you may have trouble with is the depth of these speakers is much larger than the Jensens and may not go all the way into the wall. Don't freak out if this happens, you only need a 1/2" speaker spacer to give it room ( you can buy it on amazon as well). If you do this, be sure to get longer screws as the stock ones will not grip. You can see the black spacer in the photo I attached so you can get an idea.

I purchased these to replace speakers in a 21' Larson bowrider (2004 212 LSI). I don't listen to music on the boat; I simply needed these to: a) look good and b) function. Installation was simple (needed to drill new holes due to a strange OEM size Larson used - not a fault of this product) but that took no time at all.After hooking it up to the stock Clarion head unit, I fired it up. I was expecting AM-radio quality sound (due to brand, price, and 5.25" size of the speaker.) Much to my surprise, I was wrong! With a little bump to the bass EQ, these things actually sounded halfway decent! So much so that now I'm considering installing two more. They're not going to rock the house, but I was legitimately happy with their performance given the price. I was expecting sound quality similar to the speakers they put on my RV (which are horrible.) These are much better than those.The only reason I docked a star was due to the weatherproofing. The back of the speakers are less protected than the stock ones I removed. Due to the mounting location in my boat, the backside of the speakers protrude into the underseat storage areas. Wet life jackets and whatnot will definitely be dripping on them, so I wish it had a little more weather protection like the stock ones did.

I first ended up buying a set of Jensens, which was a direct replacement for the speakers on the outside of my trailer. They sounded horrible through some more reviews. This speaker was recommended and said it had some base which the other ones had none at all. It was a little bit to install, had to modify the hole and make it bigger because it was a quarter inch bigger than the original hole which kind it was a pain in the butt but at the end it was definitely worth it, they look good and the sound for the money is really good with half decent base I would compare to speakers three times their !
