Q: Does the bottom band ride up? I have so much trouble with Ross like this that ride up and end up pitching under my breast line

I have not had this issue. I am about a 36C and ordered a large and the band is perfect. I can hardly tell I am wearing it at all. No wires digging in. I have worn this is the Texas heat and humidity, cleaning a deck and walking a dog and have no issues. Make sure when you get it the band fits correctly. My experience is the band only rolls up when it's too small.

Q: what skin tone is “bare” supposed to be?

It's a medium flesh tone for lighter-skinned (as opposed to olive, brown or black) gals. Works well under white or semi-sheer clothes.

Q: Can this be worn by itself like a sports bra or a crop top tank top?

The fabric is very thing and comfortable but it doesn't support as much as a sport bra.

Q: I'm a 40A, what size would i buy?

I am a 40D and I bought XL and it was too small!
