Grohe 48293000 Flexible Shower Hose with Weight

This was the exact part I needed, for a Grohe pull-down sink faucet after the old one leaked. The old one lasted 5+ years. The failure point does seem to be the braided hose just before it gets to the nozzle, as that is where it seems to be stressed when angling the nozzle to hit the different parts of the sink. Note that the weight I was sent was different than the otiginal: the new one was football shaped rather than cylindrical, and it clipped in instead of being screwed in like the old one. However, it was very very tight, so I just re-used the old one and it fit/functioned perfectly. This kit does include a new collar to fit the hose to the sprayer nozzle in case you were wondering, and it looks exactly like the old one. As others have stated, the bottom of the hose does seem to get stuck as you feed it up and then down into the path of the sink below. I recommend taking off the curved tubing of your faucet (mine was just friction fit), feed into that tubing, and I was able to see where it goes down into the sink. The photo is of the faucet exterior tubing taken off (the part that rotates left and right) and I could see that is where the hose gets stuck. It took me about 15-20 minutes in total to do this whole thing with just a screwdriver to remove and replace the weight, but otherwise didn't need any other tools and didn't fiddle with any plumber's/Kevlar tape. This was an affordable option to fix the problem, and hopefully this one lasts at least 5+ years like the old one, though ideally it would be longer (your garden hose probably lasts longer). If you saw the YouTube video showing you how to fix this, the guy uses and links to a Hansgrohe part at Lowe's for 79 bucks, it doesn't come with the collar/fittings nor weight, and the tubing diameter is actually smaller than this, the original part, so the weight doesn't stay (he shows it in the video). I'm glad I took the plunge on this part.

Replaced my extended faucet hose for my Grohe faucet perfectly! Came quick and easy to install. I've had it for two weeks almost now and no issues whatsoever.

Bought this to replace the original hose that had developed a leak after 10 years or so. It was a bit of a challenge to find a hose that was constructed the same as the original, but this is it. I was not able to get an answer to my question about the length before my purchase; it is 56” long which matches the original. The hose comes with several fittings to different connections.

We had cleaners at our house on Friday, and of course without fail, every time there are here, they brake something that takes days for me to fix. This time, it was our Grohe pull out line that they busted. After watching lots of YouTube videos to figure out how to take the faucet apart properly, I managed to remove the broken line on Saturday. After doing lot’s of web search to find the right part, I decided to order it from Amazon. It got here on Sunday (overnight), I installed it and works like a charm. Thank you Amazon for making our lives simpler, this was a big deal for us, as we could not use our kitchen sink. I am drinking a nice-hot cup of coffee right now, thanks to Amazon.

Extremely disappointed. When the grohe box arrived it was already opened. It was clear and evident this was a used hose, not to mention it leaked.

I have a different faucet model, which has this part as Grohe 48472000, but this one fit perfectly. It also fills somewhat sturdier than the original hose.

Worked great as a drop-in replacement for my original host which was leaking. Came with all the right fittings that worked with my faucet and installation was straight forward with no tools required.
