Though I thought this item was way out of my price range I weighed the price of my 13x19 photos that would become part of this presentation book and took the plunge.Upon receiving this I began to explore it. First impression was it's a form of plastic? For this price?Further exploration leaves me really liking this product and when funds allow, more will be added to accommodate my growing photo stack. At this size I have two Pina Zangaro Polypropylene packs of 10 loaded (an extra price for each) and this seems to be about what I would call the limit for both weight and easy transportability. Also purchased was a package of screwposts, at an additional cost for the addition of one more pack of 10 protectors. The aluminum hinge runs the length of one side and this can be used either in a landscape or portrait format photos. However, if thought is given when loading your photos little turning is required from landscape to portrait is necessary. The fact that there is no way to know which side to begin with is not an issue with the translucent covers front and back. The portfolio comes with a separate overall translucent cover to protect the contents from excessive dust and the like.Overall impression, though expensive I feel it to be modern not contemporary in looks and in some minds this will not do. In my mind it fits right in.Should you decide to splurge and try one of these I hope your feelings are equil to or better than mine are as I do really like this presentation book.

More bang for your buck
This portfolio case is just as good as many cases being sold on "custom portfolio" websites where you have to drop $200 for just the portfolio (not including page inserts, a case for the portfolio case, or any form of customisation the website promises). The Pina Zangaro Vista Screwpost Portfolio Case was roughly half the price of other cases (that look and function EXACTLY like this one) and it came with the option of guaranteed two day shipping. For only eight dollars more. The fastest any other website I found could have shipped was three days and the shipping would have costed me a whopping $80 (thanks for nothing Klo Portfolio). The only reason you should ever look further than Pina Zangaro for all your portfolio needs is if you want your name etched or carved into the cover. For a basic, functioning, professional portfolio, Pina Zangaro has got your back,

Nice matte finish!
It has a beautiful matte finish on the outside, and a gloss inside. The screw posts it comes with are a dark black color and pretty good quality. (Make sure you thumb screw them, don't over tighten them as it notes - these are not industrial !! haha)Overall a great sized product.NOTE: I previously purchased a 11x17 through the pina zangaro website a long time ago- and ordered the color engraving. The finish on the outside of the portfolio seems less matte on that one than on my non-engraved 11x14 I just ordered. Not a problem though- because I actually like the matte finish quite a lot. The 11x17 is still holding up well, I just wanted a smaller size for portability, and didn't want the logo on the front any longer. I'll keep it as it is hard to sell something that already has a logo on it! (keep that in mind too!)

Good Quality, but couldn't find the pages to go in it
My daughter needed one of these for her senior year in college. Incredibly expensive!!! After all the cost, I could not locate pages for it. After looking around and even at the Pina Zangaro site, we ended up having to get pages from another vendor (Office Werks $19.97 / 20 pgs.) and punching our own holes to match the PZ portfolio. The PZ site seemed to say that we COULD get the pages from them, but that it would be a special run item and that the cost would go with it. I also bought a Pina Zangaro screwpost set ($11.51) which amounts to about 6 little binder screws.

Very Nice Portfolio Book
Just got this in today and it is very nice looking. I thought that I would have to buy one of the jackets for it (and I probably will) but the packaging it came in was also very nice and can be re-used. The actual size of the book itself I measured out to be around 19.75x14.5 so there's a nice little buffer.Do pay closer attention to the product description than I did. When they say the sheet protectors are sold separately the really do mean it. I thought that maybe it would have starter sheets with refills being sold separate, but no, this is just the book itself.Still, I'm really happy with the item!

Vista 11x17"
my first pick was the 11x17" Machina because it was metal and the bolts doesn't come out through the front like this one does. then i saw the Machina in person and i think i like this one more.Pros: sleek, shiny, sexy, and waaay cheaper than buying direct from Pina Zangaro.Cons: Scratches easily, pick ups dirt/fingerprints/hair/and or static electricity from the carpet very easily.Comes with slips if you get the bundle off of amazon.I've only ordered twice from Hyatt and they have been very good to me so far. I ordered the wrong size the first time and they let me send it back. they gave me back my credit and i was able to re-order. i actually like the 11x14" more but my work calls for this size. i decided to order from them again because they were very courteous.

The Exterior Sides Are No Longer Glossy
The exterior sides of this screwpost binder's panels are no longer glossy, and instead a flat matte finish, which really takes the pop out of them. My friend has one of these in 8.5x11 portrait with glossy exteriors, and that one is a lot more attractive in my opinion. What's more, the interior sides of the one I received are still glossy, giving you the initial impression that the binder was assembled backwards. So I called Pino Zanagaro in San Francisco to ask about this, and they informed me that this is how they now assemble them, as the flat exterior sides offer more fingerprint resistance and better results when color imprinting. Consider this if you're thinking about purchasing this item.

Espectacular
