This tray will not be for persons looking for a high end tray. The wood on the tray is a mere 1/4 inch thick, rough, and stained to a dark brown finish. I didn't buy it for quality, but for the price, size, color, and use on my ottoman. It works out perfectly well and is holding my notebook and pen, my Kindle, cellphone, remote controls, glasses, treats for my kitty, and decorative candle. It gets all these things off my ottoman so more room to put feet up. There is still plenty of room on the tray for lots more stuff with the 3 inch height, and the metal handles are strong enough to carry it all. I would probably give this tray another coat of poly in the future. I would recommend to others as long as they know what they are getting ahead of time.

The tray is nice, it has handles that require you to attach. Mine came without enough screws to attach one handle. Disappointing

Okay, as other reviewers have said-this isn't the best made tray but it has a very nice look and for my uses it has been sturdy enough. It won't break if you put heavy things inside and it isn't like the handles are loose and about to fall off. It is a pretty light tray and looks just like the picture (rustic/modern). I used it for presenting materials for an interior design presentation (I filled it with tiles, wood samples, fabrics, etc. and it held up just fine-I actually rather liked that it was so light). If you aren't looking for something heavy duty and great quality but rather for "the look" you won't be disappointed. However I do agree that it is a bit pricey for what you get which is why I'm giving it 4 stars. Hope this helps!

It looks great and beautiful in my kitchen. I use it to organize oils, salt, pepper, and a couple of other spices I use daily when right up on my counter next to the stove. The wood feels very light so it's probably not hard wood. For this reason, I think the price is a bit too high. I'm planning on buying two more, but only if the price gets lower, to use to organize different things on my back counter including coffee, sauces, and syrups, condiments, etc. I cannot give a review on how well it works as a serving tray since I don't use it that way and don't plan on doing so.

I like the design but it was poorly assembled. I had to take one panel off and re-nail it together and then stain the section that was messed up when it arrived. It didn't take long to fix and was easier to do than return it and wait for a new one.

I got this to hold the tv remote and other items. The bottom seemed unfinished which I did not like. It felt like it was going to put splinters in my leather or give me a splinter. I was going to return it but my husband plasti-dip sprayed the bottom of the tray. This took care of the issue so the bottom was more rubbery but then I couldn't return it which I had planned to do. The corners are super sharp which is also a downside since it can leave indentation marks or feels like it could puncture something. It is light weight which would be good if you are going to carry the tray. It is the right size and the depth is good. The handles do not feel like they would bend.

It's a darker finish than what appears in the picture, closer to a black. I'm using it as a alcohol display, holds six bottles perfectly. slightly rough finish, good quality on the handles and brackets.

I bought this without looking through the reviews first and now I realize that I should have. I chose this tray mostly because of the color and the hardware that was used on the sides and the handles. It fits the feel of my living room. When I removed the tray from the Amazon box however I was pretty disappointed. Although all the hardware is attached, the wood used for the sides and bottom is very flimsy and it seems like whom ever nailed the sides together just didn't care. 3 of the 4 sides have cracks where the nails went in sideways and split the wood. I think if it wasn't poorly made from soft craft wood I wouldn't feel like I was ripped off. Its a good thing I am crafty as I will be taking off the hardware to use on a more stable serving tray. Just frustrated that I wasted my time.

You've been warned! Here's the details.The build quality is awful. Contrary to what appears in the image, the faux wood is cheap. It's light, it feels almost like Styrofoam. The handles and brackets appears to be glued on. Mine arrived without a handle. It was shipped that way, the missing handle wasn't even in the box.STEER CLEAR!

Good quality, reasonable size, nice to have it for many functions to serve food, or just to sit and look gorgeous.

Very poor quality, arrived damaged. Extremely poor customer service. Do not recommend.
