Pequeño y resistente

Es un comedero resistente y fácil de rellenar; no es para semillas demasiado pequeñas, ya que pueden salirse por la malla o por debajo

Durable, smart design, attracts a wide variety of small birds

I have been using this bird feeder for a little over a month now, and have never attracted so many yellow goldfinches! Why I'm giving this birdfeeder five stars:-A very well thought out design. The top of the feeder unscrews from the main cylinder that holds the seed. It has a wide mouth opening that allows for really easy filling with practically zero waste.(Please see attached picture)-The cylinder shaped shaft that holds the seed is made of a durable tight mesh / screen like material that keeps small seeds like niger seed safe from spilling out.-Both the top and bottom appear to be made of metal. The bottom catches any excess seed and give small birds a place to perch and feed.-It is very attractive! I chose the yellow colour and it brightens up the yard. I love the flower like shape on the top and bottom pieces.-As the feeder is small it detracts larger birds from gobbling up the expensive seed.-The "O-ring" is durable and allows for instant set up on a sturdy branch or hook.-It attracts a near constant stream of a wide variety of small birds.-At the time of my purchase, I paid $16.99 through Amazon.ca. For the quality of this bird feeder, I find this price reasonable. Not to mention my local store was charging nearly $10 more for the same feeder! Some things to consider:-This feeder is meant to attract smaller birds. It is too small for large birds. (See attached picture for an idea of the size).-This feeder holds small seeds and would not be compatible with sunflower seed or comparable sized seeds.I have yet to try this feeder over our harsh winters here and look forward to seeing how it holds up. I would expect to see some nuthatches, and plenty of chickadees and perhaps small woodpeckers.I paid full price for this bird feeder and hope my review helps someone in deciding which purchase is right for them.

Well made. Better than sock feeder.

This is a quality little product. I tried a sock feeder, but the squirrels ripped it apart in a day. This is a much better option!1) I like its smaller sizes. Thistle-eating birds are very picky, so if you were to fill up a giant tube feeder with thistle, and it got wet or sat out too long, they would stop eating it. This feeder, however, holds a reasonable amount of seed.2) Very well made. Very sturdy. The wide top helps keep water off the thistle; water makes the thistle go bad faster.3) It seems the holes in the mesh are the appropriate size to let a reasonable about of thistle come out. I've also seen birds clinging onto it and pecking at it, so it seems appropriately sized so they can get their beaks in there.WARNING: It took about SIX MONTHS for birds to start using this feeder. They became more interested in it in very late fall, I guess when natural food sources are drying up. Don't give up, they'll find it eventually. Although, I have YET to see a beloved goldfinch at this thing.TIP: Store unused thistle in your fridge/freezer to keep it fresher and don't buy ridiculously large portions to store. Seriously, thistle-eating birds are so snooty and will turn their beaks up at thistle that isn't up to par. Also, turn your feeder end-to-end once in a while to loosen the seed at the bottom and aerate it. If you just let a filled feeder sit out there, the seed will clump together and the birds sill stop eating it.

Great little finch feeder

very well made looks real sharp in my garden that is very close to my summer room window great for watching the finches. the finches loveit! It’s on the small side but that is good as you fill it more often thana large feeder this is good because the finches are always getting FRESH seed. It’s attractive easy to fill easy to clean what more could one ask for! 😀. Shelley

Needs perches

I purchased this feeder because it's metal. I had a larger plastic feeder which lasted about 2 days before a racoon tore out one of the perches at the bottom of the feeder which emptied the feeder. I like the size since I don't have to use a lot of niger seed at one time. However, it does not have perches. I solved the perch problem by inserting a wooden chopstick through the feeder. Now the finches can perch on the chopstick while feeding. Another problem is the way the top attaches to the feeder. It's very easy for the base to unscrew from the top. This makes cleaning the feeder very easy but I would prefer a more secure method of attaching the top to the bottom.
