Lasko12" Oscillating Table Fan for Home, Offices, Bedrooms, Living Rooms, 3-Speeds, Widespread Oscillation, Tilt-Back Fan Head, Portable, White, 2012

Have had a Lasko space heater for over 60 years and still works as new so I chose this fan because of the long service record of the heater. Easy assembly, quiet running, and a good amount of wind even on low. Hopefully this is the last table fan I buy.

I live in So Cal & we had a heat wave. 101 degrees 3 blocks from the ocean. I needed another fan fast. I got it the next day and it helped so much. It is quiet, the perfect size. It works well at all speeds. It is a Lasko fan, so I knew it would be a very good fan.

It was easy to put together. Works great. I bought 2 of them for upstairs apt that gets very warm by end of day.I understood that they were oscillating/or stand still. They both only oscillate which is fine with me but not as advertised. The button adjusts up or down to control oscillating or no oscillating...but makes no difference

I own 3 of these fans and I love them. I've had two of them for five years and run them daily for many hours. I haven't had a single problem with any of them. They are made entirely of plastic, so are very lightweight. It requires some assembly, but the few pieces snap together easily. The instructions are easy to follow and have pictures to assist. This also makes it very easy to disassemble when it needs cleaning. I'm an old lady with arthritis and even I was able to easily put it together in just a few minutes. The fan has three speeds and oscillates across a wide area. The higher the speed, the louder the fan is. It can also tilt up and down to direct the air flow. The fan's two control buttons, speed and power, are located behind the fan at the top.The only negative that I find with the fan is that it's a little loud. It's not an offensive sound and in fact a lot of people find the sound of a fan soothing and use it for white noise. If I'm sitting right next to it, I have to turn it off to talk on the phone. But if its 10'-15' away, it doesn't interfere with conversation. The sound is quiet and soothing enough to run it all night in my bedroom without disturbing my sleep. The fan not only looks nice, but works great as well.

Very reasonably priced and easy to assemble. It’s also the exact size I wanted, and I like that it has 3 fan speeds, and a still and oscillating mode. The highest speed is enough to keep you cool on a hot summer day (I would know, dorm rooms get pretty hot in August when school first starts!) I also like how easy it is to take the top part off. Since all fans collect some dust, it makes this fan extremely easy to clean. There definitely is some noise to it, but I personally like the white noise - I find it relaxing and it helps me sleep. The noise is obviously on the high setting (3) than on the low setting (1). Its not an annoying sound though, and I don’t think it’s much louder than any other fan. My roommates fan is quieter than this one, but this fan does a much better job of cooling down the room.

I would definitely recommend this fan for smaller rooms. Compared to most fans I've used, this one is pretty quiet, but the little noise it does make is like a nice white noise for me (I'm a light sleeper). The price for this fan was really reasonable. I have to have circulating air in my room almost constantly so I didn't want to buy a really cheap fan that would die in a short period of time or one that would have to be set on high just to get some air flow. I'll tell you, this is a pretty powerful table top fan. I've never had to use any setting but low on mine, and it oscillates very smoothly.When you get this fan, you have to put it together yourself, but have no fear...it's extremely easy to do! And don't panic when you pull it out of the box and realize that it is all plastic and may, at first glance, seem cheaply made. This is a very light, but sturdy little fan. It's also very easy to take apart and clean, which you can't say about a lot of fans these days.I love this fan so much that I ordered another one for my office when our air conditioning quit working. Don't look any further for a nice table top fan.

This fan gets the job done with its size and 3 speeds. But make no mistake about it, everything about this thing is cheap. Cheap light plastic, cheaply minded the whole way, and the way it all fits together is cheap with it easily falling apart from just a bump or a even trying to handle it. This fan doesn't have a handle on top like most others I have had of this size. So if you want to move it anywhere you have to grab it at the base and its easy to bump it into something where the grill that is in two pieces easily falls off..There is no lock of any kind on the two halves, they just squeeze together, and not with a nice comforting snap either. ..Also, there is this big round lug locker or whatever it is that is supposed to keep the back piece of the grill attached to the body that I couldn't get on easily at all. There are directions with this fan, but all it says is "install lug lock" or something like that with no real further mention of how to to do it. I have trouble with it every time I take this apart for cleaning...I've just taken to leaving it off and being gentle with it...Lastly this fan makes a very low but detectable hum to me that is annoying. You can get by with it, at least I can, but there is no way to stop it and it may aggravate someone else a lot...About the only thing I can say in favor of this is it does move a lot of air. Even on low it is really pouring out a breeze which is very acceptable...In conclusion, its not very often am so at odds with other reviewers as this, but this thing really is just cheap as hell in my opinion. The grill is made of such a soft thin plastic that you can't adjust it or attempt to pick it up without being extra gentle, lest your fingers poke through. I really think what I have here is something cheaper and junkier that some of the other reviews speak about that are some 4 years old now...I can't imagine leaving a review for this like "best for your money" , "perfect". "excellent" etc...This thing is crap next to the old fan I had for over 8 years that its replacing. As for the longevity of this, its way too early for me to speak of anything like that. If it happens to break or stop working in what I consider to be a n unreasonable amount of time I will be back to update this review. Personally I don't think its off to much of a good start, but we shall see. Right now 3 stars is the best I can do with it...Update: This fan crapped out and hasn't run since we had a thunderstorm here that took out the power...Just for a couple of minutes, but that was enough. Everything else in the house survived including the other fans I have around. But this just shut off and it has not run since. Completely dead...And I have had it less than 3 months...What good is it if a power outages if going to kill it...Not recommended...

In this dusty environment, I find I need to clean my fan every month or so. I searched for a base priced fan with true cleaning capability. I can dismantle this fan, clean it in soapy water and put it back together easily, with only a screwdriver. Wonderful, quiet, effective product!

Was worried as it's all plastic, but once together, I have never had a 12" fan with such great air flow

Terrible quality for the money. Would not buy again. Does not even come close to a Honeywell fan.
