amazing. bought this book cuz my husband of 12 years (our familys protector) died. now i have to protect and defend on my own. great intel. started reading and cant put it down.

The gun is not the only thing you need to know to protect yourself in your home,

Just got it in the mail, my first thoughts are there is a lot of good information about guns and shooting here, but it's not exactly what I expected. From the cover, I thought it would be more holistic, dealing with hardening your house, reinforcing doors and windows, training guard dogs, etc. But it's 90% about guns. Guns of course are key to home defense, but they are not the only defense. It's better to keep the "bad guys" out of the house than plan for a shoot-out with them in the living room. This is a good, solid book about a shooting strategy in the home once if the criminal gets in. I was equally interested in the home defenses to keep the "bad guys" out.

Easy to read and understand, is accompanied by clear graphics and a comprehensive guide to overview (read catalog) ofbest guns,safes and other articles that help you accomplish the mission of defending your family, yourself and your castle.All in all a Classic book.

Would recommend for beginners and novice I know all the information that's in here but I collect Shooters Bibles

Home defense is much more than just having a revolver or shotgun handy. I bought this book for my three sons so they could make their homes safer for their kids. So should everybody else.

A good book especially for folks new to the prepper life.
