Velbon QB-4LC Quick Release Platform

I had bought and used my Velbon Videomate 400 many years ago. When I moved to England, somehow in all the confusion that comes with moving, I lost the quick release, rendering my tripod useless. And yet, because I really like this particular tripod, I kept it, hoping that someday I would come across either the original or a new one. I ordered this one from Amazon on a lark last month and found that it fit my tripod exactly! Now I am back using my favorite tripod for all my photography projects. An added bonus is the screw that secures your equipment to the mount has a solid metal head and slot, unlike the original that had a plastic head which didn't stand up to much abuse. Thank you, Amazon and Velbon, for restoring my tripod to me!

I purchased this for a Velbon 5000 tripod that was given to me with the quick plate missing. Once the part arrived, I inspected the quick plate and found it to be in excellent condition, the only minor irritation will be having to carry around a flat headed screw driver to move the plate between my three cameras until I can order another two plates (a thumb screw would have been a better choice for the application.) After inspection, I installed it onto the tripod and was surprised to find that it fit perfectly. *** Please note, I have yet to attach it to any one of my cameras, so this review may change if there are any issues there.

I bought a Velbon 5000 tripod for cheap at Goodwill but it was missing the mount. After some searching I determined this was probably the right mount for it. I was right. It fits perfectly. It's a good, sturdy tripod so it was worth getting this mount plate for it.

Seems like a good build quality, did not fit my Velbon tri-pod, but that was my fault not doing my homework before buying.

Left my original mounting plate in a hotel room on a photo trip to D.C. (I think). Measured my OLD Ambico tripod plate opening and ordered this one. It arrived in two days later and fits perfect, if maybe a little snug. Looks and feels just like the original. Ordering a spare, just in case, and the price is right.

Was given a good ambico tripod that was missing the plate . Measured the base and found this . Rolled the dice and ordered. It was as described and the correct measurements . Two thumbs up for price and quality . Works as it should and serves its purpose

I bought a used tripod that didn't have this adapter that I needed to attach a camera or binoculars. This one fits perfectly and works just like it's supposed to.

The size was not quite right, since the measurements given are for the top of the plate not for the mount.It would be a great help if the size of the mounting were given.I wrapped the mount several times with tape so it will fit in one direction.

The quick release platform fit perfectly and does not wabble!

Tolles Teil, fehlte mir seit einem Stativ-Verleih seit Jahren! Hätte nicht gedacht, dass ich dafür noch ein Ersatzteil finde.
