Hunter's story lovingly laid out in black in white
Here we are at book 5 of the Winter Jacket series and it's a dream come true for those of us so heavily invested in Elle and Hunter. We've all wondered what Hunter was thinking and feeling as she navigated her crush for Elle and here it is lovingly laid out in black and white. Honestly, it wasn't what I expected at all, and Hunter wasn't what I expected. In some cases, it's a stark collision of what we know about Hunter through Elle's previous internal dialogue and musings for 4 books. As Hunter's thoughts are revealed we gain insight as to why they ran so hot and sometimes got stopped cold. I highly recommend reading Winter Jacket first since they are about the same timeline, but mostly because you will be gifted a few Easter Eggs along the way that refer back to the first novel. This book was such a treat and I hope we see more from this universe of characters.

So happy to hear Hunter's point of view!!
I LOVE the Winter Jacket series I have read it numerous times. I was so excited Eliza Lentzski found a way of extending the series by adding a book with Hunters point of view!!!! I believe this book could and should have been a lot longer, I would have loved to have read Hunter's thoughts and point of view through the beginning of her relationship with Elle. However this book definitely gave more insight to Hunter and her relationship with her parents which again I think could have made the book longer to explain how Hunters relationship with her family changed as her relationship with Ellie developed. So excited for another book in this series hopefully Eliza will consider more books with Hunter's point of view that would parallel the original winter jacket series

Long time Winter Jacket reader who loved getting Hunter's story!
I didn't love the original Winter Jacket. I'm not one for Teacher/student type romances. However i didn't hate it and Eliza Lentzski seems to have a way to make unlikable characters interesting. So i purchased the sequel, and that sequel..and they grew on me. I became invested in Elle and Hunter's journey so much that by the end of the fourth book i loved them! Given that the first four were written in first person from Elle's point of view i was super excited to see into Hunter's head..and i loved that the author took us right back to the beginning so i was able to then re-read the first book cross referencing the scenes against this one, now having BOTH of point of views. Is that weird? Don't care, it was awesome and i loved them so much more as a result (and have a new appreciation for the first book). The perfect series finale.

Fun read for Winter Jacket enthusiasts.
If you have already read the "winter jacket" series you will enjoy this book. If you havent I would suggest that you read book 1 first. Book 1 is the beginning of Elle and Hunters relationship basically from Elle's point of view. Book 5 tells it from Hunters point of view. It had been awhile since I had read book 1 so I opened it and found it fun to read them side by side. The setting and dialog was the same but the inner voices were different. I did not realize in book 1 that Hunter was struggling so much.My only complaint was the abrupt ending. It only covered about a third of the original book. So I read book 1 again. Crazy, but its a great series with many ups and downs that makes it a real page turner.

Hunter’s point of view
I could not believe this book existed when I came across it. The Winter Jacket series holds a warm place in my heart. It was exciting being able to relive the first book from Hunter’s point of view. The ending was a delicious treat that made me feel like I’d been caught in the rain just like Hunter ;)I recommend reading the first 4 books before this one so you can feel the satisfaction of knowing Hunter and Ellio’s infatuation was mutual.

Her story and five stars
I'm so glad Eliza decided to give her dedicated readers Hunter's side of the story. To read how Hunter was and leading up to the start of her relationship with Elle was amazing, especially to see Elle from a different prospective. I mean come on, there was things the reader didn't know about Hunter and bam the author surprises us with a prequel. What more can you ask for? Well maybe a movie?!?! Well what I'm trying to say is buy, read and enjoy!! Thank you Eliza for another awesome and amazing read.

I have loved this couple from Elle's POV from book #1 and now even more from Hunter's POV! Writing and dialogue are superb as per usual of Mrs. Lentzski...if she'll only give us the wedding in the next installment so that my little lesbian heart will be happy and satisfied! :)

Another '10' in my ratings. Loved it!
Another '10' in my ratings. I loved reading this from Hunter's perspective. Of course I then had to go back and read 'Winter Jacket' Enjoyed it all over again. Great writing from Ms. Lentzski. I've never been disappointed with any of her writings/books. Always waiting for more. I also loved than she had Hunter reading one of her own books in this book. Great idea.

Quite Brilliant
Having read a number of this authors stories, for me none of the 'loving'[ relationships in the other stories can quite match the tension, intensity and vulnerability that she manages to evoke between Elle and Hunter. Maybe its the age difference or the status difference that adds to the mix of emotions , but whatever it is works a certain magic. I hope the writer can find another reason to tell us more about Hunter and Elle. Like a number of other readers it would seem, I can never have enough of this couple. One small negative; in her other stories I don't recall as many - or maybe any - typos creeping into the text - perhaps there were some time pressures.!

I seem to be in the minority...
...in not absolutely LOVING Elle and Hunter. Personally I find myself more invested in the relationship between Cassidy and Julia in the 'Don't Call Me Hero' series. I find Elle a bit selfish and self-centred.At the end of 'All In' I said I wanted an insight into Hunter. I wasn't expecting a whole book! This is fine and shows that the attraction between Elle and Hunter is mutual but since it's a re-write of the 1st Winter Jacket from a different perspective, it's well trodden ground and offers nothing really new. Don't shoot me; just my opinion!
