Probably the least expensive solution for excessively large collections
Well, I started with 250, used each and every one and am now awaiting the next 500. That is a huge DVD collection. I did a lot of research before buying this product, but since this is the only DVD sleeve brand I have tried I cannot offer much of a comparison. The sleeves are not particularly thick, but the DVD envelope portion slips out - holds two DVDs - I suggest using a single sleeve per video set, putting your digital copy or bonus material in the bottom, shallower pocket and the copy you will most likely watch in the top. Slip out the cover art and fold down the middle of the spine. I put the DVD envelope in the center so that I can still read the movie description once it is in the sleeve. I would strong advise against putting two different movies in a single sleeve. (Atlantic sells a product that claims to fit two to a sleeve and has a box that holds 72 this way) After all we are doing this so we can see the cover art! There is more difficulty with the mixed card board and plastic DVD boxes; these require some serious trimming. I cut out the center spine, and trimmed away portion of the cover I needed least. Collectors additions, large boxed sets, I'd recommend keeping in original containers. The Lord of the Rings collectors addition shall remain unmolested!!!! You will need something to keep your movies in and easy to find. If you have more than 200 DVDs, you may want to consider the DVD/CD boxes made by Pioneer. Pack them loosely enough to be able to rifle through them easily and organize by genre. I think I'll have one full box just for Zombies (my husband buys these, NOT me!). So far I've filled about 4 of them with the first 250. with some room to add more. Working obsessively this took about 5 hours.

Scratches DVDs
After lots of searching, I decided to try these out instead of the Atlantic sleeves, which had already proved to scratch DVDs. Since i had seen what the Atlantic did, I went ahead and grabbed a blank writable DVD to test and compare the two sleeves.Test method: I slid a new disc into each sleeve about 10 times, and then looked at the bottom of the disc. Then I took the disc and rubbed against the roughest part of each sleeve about 10 times while providing back pressure behind the spot. For the Atlantic, it's the dots that denote the second disc. For the CPP sleeves, it's the disc slot and backing.Based on what I witnessed, the Atlantic sleeves did about twice the damage of these sleeves, however there was definitely some scratching that occurred with the CPP sleeves (see the attached picture..that's the CPP sleeve)In the end, the scratches are fine, but will add up over time. Personally, it's not worth it for me.

Protect the DVDs
I purchased these and love them! I have the Atlantic sleeves for my first 300 but, I like these a little more. They are almost the same and the plastics outer sleeves seem to be the same grade. But, I really like these inner sleeve is my favorite part. They have a better anti scratching factor that makes me feel just safer about taking them in and out of the sleeve. I'll be getting these from now on.

Why didn't I buy these sooner?
We live in a small apartment and our little tv stand does not have a ton of room for DVDs. We are finally growing out of it but don't have room for another piece of furniture in our living room to keep our movies. Now we are keeping these sleeves in a little basket and have tons more space to accumulate more movies in our collection! 50+ movies now take up about 20% of the space they used to.What I didn't realize is that each case is made up of two pieces - the transparent sleeve and the insert that holds two DVDs (I thought it was all one piece and the cover art went into a big pocket on the back of the DVD pockets - not so). However, this system still works equally well, and the clear plastic sleeve part is surprisingly sturdy (won't tear easily). As our movie collection grows, I will definitely be buying more sets of these sleeves.

Large Capacity w/ Only the Odd One or Two per 50-pack Ripping
I’ve ordered these multiple times, and I love them! They are perfect for the casual collector, so I’m giving them a 5 star rating. HOWEVER, like all things, they do have a limit on durability and sturdiness. I will often double up on the disk holders, and put more than one in each sleeve when all the discs are part of a collection or make up a complete TV series. For example, I have every Star Trek Movie (do not judge me lol), and I can fit the entire original motion picture collection, which is a whopping 6 DISCS, IN ONE SLEEVE ALONG WITH THE COVER, meaning I managed to cram 3 separate disc holders onto one sleeve without any trouble. I also keep movies and their sequels together. It works out really nicely because each holder has two slots, and there is enough space to put one cover in the front and the cover to the sequel in the back. So why did I say they do have their limits?... you may be asking. Well I’ll tell you! I have multiple old movies... you know, the ones with the ugly cardboard covers instead of the paper sleeves. I can fit the cardboard covers into these if I do a little finesse-ery and tear the covers off right along the edge, but they push these sleeves to the absolute limit based on their width. That alone STILL HASN’T CAUSED ANY RIPAGE! But alas, even these sleeves have their limit, which comes in the form of my copies of the Never Ending Story 1 and 2, which both have cardboard covers, and which I decided to mash into one sleeve to remain consistent with my “sequels go in the same sleeve as the original” mantra. YET EVEN WITH TWO CARDBOARD COVERS AND TWO DISCS IN ONE SLEEVE, the trooper containing these two films STILL HAS NOT RIPPED; however, I can confidently state that is their ABSOLUTE LIMIT, solely because of how wide the cardboard covers are, and even I wouldn’t tempt the gods by trying to slide anything else into the sleeve along with these bad boys. So long story short, these things are about as great as movie sleeves get as far as storage capacity, and anyone who says otherwise either has a bad batch, or just isn’t careful with them. I have had several sleeves rip open at the seams here and there, but even these were more like happy accidents than actual problems with the product as a whole because it’s only happened a few times, and only one of them actually had anything in it (only one disc); the other two didn’t have anything in them, so I wouldn’t say they are fragile over all, just that there may be the odd weakling here and there that were goners already. I still dare anyone to look Star Trek and the Never Ending Story in the eye and say these sleeves don’t hold up. (ps I promise I have normal-people movies too.)
