Social Psychology, 8th Edition 8th Edition

This book did the job. I ordered it for a class and it was fine. However, this was probably the most long and boring read for me out of all of my textbooks (and I've had history and stats classes that required lots of reading). The text was small, the material was wordy, and the information was arranged in a strange way that made it really frustrating to take notes. I typed up my notes instead of writing them by hand, because the information would be given out of order and I'd have to go back and add sections of notes. This was an interesting subject, but way the information was given made me dread reading the textbook.

Let's be honest. I got this book for two reasons: one - it was a requirement for this elective course and two - I do appreciate the philosophy of the human intervention. It teaches what it is written, and it reflects back to the teacher's perspective. And as an architect major, the psychological aspect plays a vital role in creating a better environment for the public. After all, everything follows the ripple effect, believe it or not. It is just one way of connecting two different things, and yet there is a strong bond between the psychological and architectural world.

Bought this book for my social psychology class and i LOVED it!! i have never wanted to read an entire textbook before. It makes very logical discussions and really helped me understand the way we function socially with others. If you are interested in this subject, whether in school or not, i recommend it! I originally rented the textbook thinking it would be one i wouldnt want to keep....i ended up sending the rental back, and then coming back to amazon at a later time to buy the book to keep on my bookself

I used this book for my psych class, and it was great! The book is structured so you won't get too bored reading it. It covers many interesting concepts, and definitely helped me get a good grasp on the large field of social psychology.

All of the cultural notes made this book fun as well as informative. It covered a number of topics that challenged my thinking.

The study guide and this book were a perfect match. Everything was matched to the test and homework, Highly recommend

Very beneficial readings, as they helped me pass my Social Psych. course with ease. Would definitely recommend it. The only negative about it that the authors could have cut down on the amount of experiments referenced within it.

Got to me on time and had everything I needed in it. Glad I could be a part of this class it was very interesting.
