Very nice for the money
I have used this receiver for about a year now. No problems at all.Fan only runs when the music is playing (weird) and is a little noisy if your close to it, but you will only notice it at the very end of the song. Would not hold that against the unit at all.The lights are all Blue. Looks good, but would have been nice to have a few different colors to mix it up. Puts out a nice blue glow.I run my computer through it and it works great.Never used the Karaoke portion of it so cannot comment on that part.Sound quality is great even at high levels.Does NOT require banana plugs. I thought it did when I ordered it so now I have 4 of them setting on the shelf.

I was on the fence bout this bc of all the bad reviews. But with the watts and for a cheap price and all the features I figured I wouldgive it a try. Don't waste your time and money. The lights are cool and that's all. The dvd player is so cheap it's just sad. And the dvd holder is off center in the cut out. One speaker terminal wouldn't do anything. The others would only make a buzzing noise in the speakers. Sending it back and Goin to spend more money and get something worth having.

CD Player seems a bit wonky
I was able to get it all hooked up to speakers and cable TV. I now have stereo for CDs, DVDs and reg TV. I replaced an old CD player that wasn't working well, and old receiver/tape player and an old DVD/VCR player. I'm happy to replace three boxes with one. I am concerned about the CD player though — I have to manually push and pull it open each time I use it and it arrived a bit scratched on the inside. And it doesn't want to play some old CDs I've recorded myself. It sounds really good though.

Performs as described & quite well.
Performs as described. If you have a working knowledge of setting-up audio and using various connectors, it works quite well right out of the box. I set this up in a medical providers facility to send music (from every source available) to 1 of more treatment rooms and there are no issues using every option. (I did create a master "settings" template for the medical personnel in order to view video and/or hear sound from each device, in any room.(ie: if a patient wants to listen to their own playlist in treatment room #1, plug their device into this cord, select this setting and viola) or,if a patient wants to listen to a streaming channel in the gym, select this setting for the source, that setting for the speaker set and of course launch the streaming channel on the available device)

Not Impressed
I bought this unit to power four large speakers at high volume in my workshop. I knew the 3000 Watts advertised wasn't RMS, but figured it would do the job. Wrong. It had barely enough power to get the volume up to where I like it, and the sound was shallow and lacking bass punch. My 100 Watt Onkyo is back in place and sounding great for now. Guess I'll have to spend more than a couple hundred to improve on that.I'm thinking the 3000 Watt spec on this Pyle must refer to the display lights on the front panel. Sunglasses recommended. This unit would be a great receiver for professional karaoke. It seems the features and such are optimized for that purpose, although this is not explained well in the sales copy.

Outstanding product at an amazing price!
This product works perfectly for my small gym. We are able to power two 800 watt speakers and four 100 watt speakers simultaneously with an additional, Monster speaker selector. This product is such a good value as it is more than four times as powerful as any similar product at BestBuy for half the price. The built quality is fairy good for the price and sound quality is terrific. The sound quality is identical if not better than our previous Harmon/Kardon HK3390 system. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone! If anything changes, I will most definetely update the review, but until then, I'm am completely satisfied with this purchase.

Pyle Home Theater Preamplifier Receiver.
Excellent receiver, got this for my husband mainly so he could plug in his head phone and play his drums. But it is a much better receiver than we thought!!Stopped working, receiver shows it's receiving a signal but it's not transmitting it to speakers!!! And yes we've tried other speakers. Piece of junk. Plye alright -- pile of !#*@. Called around town to see if someone would take a look at it, they will for $70 not including parts and labor. My old receiver was a pioneer it lasted 20yrs! This one lasted 3 months? Return policy is a joke -- 30 days.
