New to the dremel scene. how come every time i buy dremel bits they don't fit my dremel head they fall out!! what part am i missing??? help please!

You need to buy a different Collet . Take your Dremmel tool and the bit you want to use to Lows. The salesman will help you buy the collet that you need

I am looking for diamond bits to drill holes in 6mm glass for jewelry. Would these work?

tThey are awesome, one trick to keep them from over heating and dulling, find u a stainless steel pan cover what u r drilling with water, then drill. the drill bits will last a long time, i have used them on steel when i make weapons to,water keeps them cooled down. they are a great set of bits.

Do these work with a dremel tool? Some of them look very small.

The two larger bits do fit my old Dremel with a smaller chuck. The 1.5 mm fits the chuck on my drill press. Alas, the 1 mm needs a small chuck and the two I have bought from Amazon are tedious to align and do not work very well. Frankly, you would probably promptly break both the 1.5 and 1 mm in a Dremel because they are so delicate and need precise alignment for drilling. I have used all the bits with a drill press (with PLENTY of water and SLOOOW pressure) and they work great. One broke simply because I moved the vise and snapped it off. I broke a 2 mm, but simply used the broken bit for another bunch of holes. Broke again and I am now using a stub and it works just fine. Obviously, not deep holes! Drilling on polished rocks of different varieties. Work great.

Need to drill 30 screw holes in plexiglass and Lexan panels, will the bit last through 30 holes and do I need to cool bit while using?

You're better off with regular drill bits you wouldn't want to use this type of drill bit with diamond bits it will cause additional heat and melt the plastic vs. drill through cleanly. These are a very abrasive way of drilling and only used for masonry or actual glass.

Part of a model making project for someone was to mount diecast traffic lights on brass rods for a large model layout. This meant drilling a hole into the metal base for the rods to be inserted and glued. These drill bits were barely able to make an indent into the metal - in fact the original Dremel bits at least made a start, as in photo, but this purchase did nothing at all. Cannot recommend as they evidently cannot cut into metal and are poor compared with standard Dremel bits.

Gutes Set zum Bohren harter Materialien

Ich war auf der Suche nach zuverlässigen Bohrern für Halbedelsteine und bin beim Drilax Diamantbohrer-Set endlich fündig geworden. Die Bohrer liefern erstaunlich gute Ergebnisse, selbst bei sehr harten Steinen, mit denen andere Sets oft Probleme haben. Besonders praktisch finde ich die Auswahl an Größen – so kann ich flexibel unterschiedliche Lochdurchmesser realisieren, ohne ständig neue Bohrer nachkaufen zu müssen. Was einige andere Käufer in ihren Kommentaren schreiben, kann ich allerdings bestätigen: Die Bohrer können schnell brechen – aber nach meiner Erfahrung passiert das wirklich nur bei unsachgemäßer Handhabung. Auf sehr glatten Oberflächen finden sie anfangs kaum Halt, rutschen leicht weg, verkanten sich dann und können dadurch abbrechen. Wenn man jedoch mit wenig Druck arbeitet und die Stelle vorher leicht anrauht oder ankörnt, funktionieren sie zuverlässig. Insgesamt ein gutes Set für präzise Arbeiten an Glas, Schmuck und Steinen, besonders in Kombination mit einem Dremel. Für den Preis absolut empfehlenswert – man muss nur wissen, wie man richtig damit umgeht.
