I wanted a studio setup that was lightweight and portable. This fits the bill nicely. The lights get brighter after about a minute, so, turn them on a minute before actual use. Do not leave them unattended, though. The 85 watt bulbs are bright once they are warmed up. You should get about 5000 hours of use from one of these and replacement bulbs are available through Amazon and this selling partner. I recommend added a few other backdrops to use with this kit.

I had my doubts... I got it.. (first time set up took about 20 min) turned the lights and took some pics of my daughter without the flash.. They came out looking really really good.. Only thing It was lacking was the clamps to hold the backdrops on.. (the pole slides inside the fabric which means.. you have to tear down and set back up on each change.. (easy fix) go to lowes and buy clamps.. walla... Love this set.. esp the price.. awesome..The bad.. No clamps. (easily fixable by going to lowes)The fabric is fairly thing so you cannot have any type of light behind it (window lights ect)Other then that... AWESOME>.

It is a bit see through. I just placed the white background behind the black and just rotated the whole backdrop to change the background. Durable and lights work wonderfully. There is not special packaging for the lights so you have to purchase a special cushion for the lights or keep them in the boxes. Have not tested out the green screen yet. Usually takes 20 minutes to set up which is a norm for a photographer.

Good set. Takes up quite a bit of room, but we didn't expect anything else. Be careful though, while setting it up the first time one of the lights fell over and the light busted and could only be reordered.

This is great for a photo student, (which is what I am). But you will definitely have to eventually look into something sturdier if you plan to go pro. It served it's purpose for the price. The drop cloths are a tad see thru but if you layer them, you should be fine. All in all, i'm quite satisfied with my purchase and I would recommend for any photography student looking to set up a studio at home to work with.

I ordered this kit for myself for the holidays (Merry Christmas to me!) and couldn't be more please. It came very well packaged and everything was included and intact. The instructions were pretty clear and I had it up for the first time in about 20 minutes. That time decreased significantly now that I know how to do it.Unlike what other posters have said, you DO NOT need to purchase additional clamps for the backdrop. The black, white, and green muslin sheets provided all have one side the pole slips through, allowing the fabric to be hung perfectly straight each time. You can easily change out the backdrop color by removing a single wing nut. Unless you are planning to hang your own custom backdrop, clamps are unnecessary and they kit is ready to go straight out of the package.The lighting is bright and beautiful and I am very pleased with the quality of all of the pieces. It comes with a carrying case that holds all of the backdrop piece, which is pretty heavy duty and looks like it will hold up. The one thing I would like to have had added to this kit would be an additional carrying case for the umbrellas, tripod, lights, and fabric. Though not a deal breaker, it sure would make transport easier.Overall, I am extremely pleased with my purchase. Far and away a bargain for the price.

I wasn't sure exactly what to expect; I had read so many reviews on this and similar products, that I was concerned that I might be getting a piece of junk... I was surprised with the quality to be honest. The only drawbacks really were that it did not come with instructions, even though it was reasonably easy to figure out (Instructions would have been very nice though)... and the cloths are a bit thin, and its hard to get the wrinkles out, but I would expect that for this type of material, any way. But, the one thing I thought came with it that did NOT come with it was clamps to hold the back drops on the stands. I had actually purchased some, only because I thought that I would need extras in order to keep the fabric tight (thus reducing the wrinkled appearance), but I was surprised that no clamps at all came with it... so make sure to purchase your own clamps. But, I have to be honest, I would recommend this to anyone. The stands & lights are quite nice. I think I got more than my money's worth, even with the few minor draw backs.

So far so good, great lighting for portraits and video. Only problem I've had was getting the wrinkles out of the muslin, other than that more than what I expected. The bulbs are the biggest fluorescent bulbs I have ever seen, so I have been extremely careful, because I am not sure how easy it would be to find a replacement bulb.
