Definitely the best
The detail on this kit is amazing. A little bit daunting, even. I haven't started assembling it yet (still in the prep stage) but it came well packaged, with good instructions and lots of photo-etched details. Full-color paint and decal diagram. Vehicles are molded clear so you can mask the cockpits, paint the bodies black and then gray or green, and it will look like there's a darkened interior. It even comes with a nice brass plaque for display. Really great. Much nicer than the Revell version.I'm not a pro modeler, just a moderately experienced (and completely out-of-practice) amateur, and this is definitely going to push my skills to the limit. But I served on the USS Kearsarge as a Marine, and I'm looking forward to displaying it in my den. I'll post follow ups in the comments section and pics when I finish it... someday.[Edit: Obviously I did finish it. I posted a lot of advice and additional materials in the comments section, which Amazon has since decided not have anymore, so that's all gone now. But it's a great model kit; pic shows the finished product.]
