Emotional and wonderful!
Oh my! Annie Rains does it again! Her sweet characters will enchant you! Well, mostly... I found myself going through a range of emotions. Her villains are truly anger worthy. My only regret is the mark, from the tear that slipped down my cheek, on one of the pages. I typically have a box of tissues nearby, but I wasn't quick enough this time. This is a book to cherish!

*** Loved It ***
Right from the start I was drawn into Annie Rains' Snowfall on Cedar Trail. This is Halona and Alex story . He is the chief of police and has always had a thing for Halona. Halona's ex is deceased and in the wake of that their young son has not spoken since. It was great to follow these two on their road to a happily ever after.Miranda Liasson's Then There Was You is also included in this book. Colton has loved Sara since they were in college but she went for his best friend Tagg. But, two days before Tagg and Sara were to get married he left her. It has been more than a year and Sara is back home and practicing family medicine with her father. Colton is the chief of police and his father was also a chief who died in the line of duty. As much as he cares for Sara he doesn't know if he can put her through the heartache of her being with a cop. Every time he leaves for work there is no guarantee he will return. He saw what that did to his mother. He tells his heart not to care for Sara. It's a battle he fights every day. Who is going to win? Will Sara and Colton find their happy ever after? This was a great book with two superb love stories. I loved every minute of both stories and didn't want them to end.

I enjoyed this book! It is a clean, small town, single mom, sweet romance with a mild suspense element.Even though both characters started off rather prickly and standoff-ish, they warmed up to each other fairly quickly. I was very pleased about that. I dislike it when characters are constantly pushing one another away. Of course, towards the end, there is some relationship conflict where they break up, but as it's a romance novel, get back together and live happily ever after! The selective mutisum in Halona's son was very interesting to read about. I thought the author did a good job at portraying the heroine's frustration with is silence as it was frustrating for me as a reader to not have him speak! The suspense element is very mild and the big secret that the heroine is advertised as having, didn't seem like as big of a deal as it was made to be in the book. The romance itself is the heart of this story. If you're reading this book for the suspense element, I think you'll be disappointed. But if you're reading it for the romance, then I think you'll be as pleased I was with the story!*I did not read the included bonus novel.

Cute story
Such a cute book! There was a part that I thought was gonna be a little too risky lol bc I’m not used to reading that sort of stuff in books, I try to avoid it. & it was a little where he touches her boobs. But nothing crazy detailed like doing the deed, it implied it but did not go into detail thankfully. Just wanted to give a heads up for all my folks out there who like to read modest books like myself.

Great lovely story
I read it during the Christmas week. What a lovely story. Great characters. My mother had slight dementia at the end of her life. I wish I could have kept her with me but but my husband had cancer and she insisted that she we find her a assisted living place. She lived to be 96 .

Great series. Like they are part of your town.
The Sweetwater Springs is a great series. Snowfall is about Halona and son Theo, who hasn't talked since his father died. Then local police chef has always had a thing for Halona. Now they are working on doing more things together since the chief Alex is a mentor for Theo. Not an easy journey but well worth the time. 7 books on this series. 6 and 7 not outyet. Anxiously waiting for them.

Sigh worthy
Halona Locklear is the town florist and a single mom with a child who no longer speaks. She is constantly trying to find ways to help him. There a few people she trusts to care for Theo if she needs to do something. Alex Baker is the town sheriff and has been best friends with Halona's brother. The women in town have a nickname for him. Although there are several single women in town, Halona has been the only one to claim his heart. Between wooing Halona with the help of Theo and solving an old case, things come crashing down. Is there a Christmas miracle in the making? Love how the book ended.

Waiting on next book by Annie Rains!
Enjoyed another visit to Sweetwater Springs! The characters were interesting and complex. Nice read for Christmas. The bonus novel by Miranda Liasson was not a bonus and was a poor choice to present to readers of the Sweetwater Springs books. Some things are best left to the imagination.
