Old Masters 32401 Putty Stick, White

This actually works pretty good. Tub it back and forth over the staple hole, then use a credit card to scrape clean.

Works great. Take your time. Use blade to cut extra.

This stuff works, but just barely. I find that the putty is too hard, almost crayon-like. The hard consistecy makes it difficult to work into the small finishing nail holes I was attempting to cover up. If it were softer, it'd work so much better. Maybe the one I received was a bit old or dried-out? Who knows. If they're all this hard, though, you'll probably want to try another product.

It took some work to get the entire nail hole covered, but worked well. Covered easily with paint.

Once again Amazon exceeded my expectations with delivery time. Unfortunately the product didn’t live up to the same standard. This shouldn’t be called “Putty Stick”. It’s more like a “wood stick”. This putty stick is so hard the tip broke off when following instructions and rubbing over counter sunk nail hole. It’s so hard it scratched the piece of ship lap. That cost me an slightly overpriced replacement piece of ship lap. In the end, a trip to the hardware store paid off and good ole fashioned Minwax putty did the trick. I bought three thinking that would be enough to get me through the project, tried one and wanted to ship the other two back. Turns out this item isn’t eligible for returns. You got me on this one Amazon.

This works so GREAT. It fills in the scratches (some were pretty deep) & you don't have to sand or paint. We used on our woodwork that was damaged during the move. Absolutely thrilled how it worked.
