Solid bookcase
The item arrived on time, undamaged and well packaged. All components are solid pine, fit perfectly and are nicely finished. All appropriate hardware was included and the assembly instructions were clear although the part "A", "B", "C", etc parts identification was challenging because the identifying labels had fallen off of the parts. Even so, the design is pretty simple and an exploded parts drawing is included in the assembly instructions. At this price point, I doubt that I could have purchased the materials to build the unit from scratch for the same dollars.

Great product for the price point
These bookcases are beautiful!. I purchased 3 for a space because the size would fit perfectly.Pros: beautiful finish. Cabinets at home depot don't even have this nice of finish.Easy to put together not a lot of parts.Dowels and pocket hole screws make for sturdy construction.Has more shelves than other units of its size.Cons: One had a Crack showing on the side. Not sure if it is just the finish as that is sometimes the nature of wood or if it will effect structural integrity of shelf. The damage may have been caused In Transport as the delivery person dropped them on my porch. I offered to help carry or to deliver to garage so they wouldn't have t walk up steps but they declined and dropped each on consecutively.Tips: glue dowels. The screws provided are not pocket hole screws that self drill so go slow or drive in a little and back out to create false predrill. Instead of putting together Flat lay one side on floor put glue in holes, add dowels, ad glue to top of dowels and place parts into side then insert screws. Make sure bottom and shelf are oriented towards the frontbor vack cirrectly there is a difference. Repeat by adding glue in holes of the shelf and supports sticking up then line up other side with dowel and tap into place and screw into place.Install top by laying shelf on its back.06 is top support 09 is bottom supportSuggestions to manufacturer: include pocket hole screws. And maybe touch up finish.Overall: nice product would buy again. Waiting for reply from manufacturer regarding damaged side giving it 5 stars for now. Will update if repairs and or returns become a hassle. Note that in photos it show shelf sitting flush to each other which is on of the reasons I purchased. This is not the case the top overhangs sides a bit so there is a gap when they sit side by side.

Solid wood
These aren't cheap particle board. The back is thin wood but the shelf itself is very nice quality. I purchased 2 for my den and they have quite a bit of weight on them (books). They handle it perfectly. No issues. The color is lovely and the design is very pretty. Definitely recommend.

Recommend for the price
I really did not want to buy furniture I had to put together, but the assembly on this wasn’t bad. I did it alone with a mallet & drill and didn’t have any issues other than needing to pound in the shelf supports as they did not slide in easily. Took me under an hour. It’s solid wood and a decent weight, though you can definitely tell it’s mass produced and cheap. The finish scratches very easily as I discovered when sliding in the shelves.I bought the wood tone and it is much more orange than pictured. I would have preferred a darker maple look, but for the price (under 130) I’m pretty happy. The shaker styling elevates the bookcase above other similar assembly-required pieces as does the wood trim & wood grain on the back.

Nice bookshelf.
This is all wood, and not to hard to assemble. Take your time and double check the instructions, I did use wood glue to put in the dowels and it made it very sturdy. Be careful with the top and bottom curved rails they numbered them 6 and 9, make sure you have the right piece. Overall it is a very nice piece and I would buy again.

Solidly built, easy to assemble
If you have ever assem led an Ikea bookshelf, you can assemble these. I bought three last week and assembled them tonight. It is a two person job, and you will want to use an electric drill. I also used wood glue on the pegs for added assurance. The boxes are very heavy, but the flatpack is well-cushioned. All three shelves arrived without damage and with all components. I'd you're searching for the instructions, they're in the hardware box.My only small complaint is that the legs in one of the shelves were difficult to align correctly. I fixed this by asseming the unit on its side rather than it's back as recommended. Everything went smoothly after that. The 45 minute assembly estimate is about right for the first shelf. The other two took much less time as we knew what to do.As for quality...it sure beats anything from IKEA (these are replacing the pine Hemnes shelves that are 6 years old and falling apart, which is why I make the comparison). It's hardwood, so much more difficult to dent. The finish is very nice and looks much like the picture. It's off-gasing a little bit I expect that to clear up in a day or two. I have a lot of heavy books for these shelves and don't have any worries about loading them up. For the price, I feel these are a good bargain.

Beautiful bookcases, simple assembly - but use a hammer
The color is really nice in person, I was skeptical of the listing saying "Cherry" since that's the most misused color term in wood furniture - ever. But the bookcases do have a nice, unaggressive orange hue to their finish that I find very pretty.Make sure to keep track of which piece is which when assembling! I'm pretty sure the 1 star reviews who claimed they got the wrong pieces mixed them up, but it's not that hard to do in this case. There are pieces labeled 06, 09, 01, and 10 that are all easy to mix up if you take the stickers off too early. Only take the stickers off when you're ready to use it! And why do they start with a leading 0? So you can tell the difference between 06/09 and 01/10 :)My advice: Don't install the metal pegs for the shelves until the end when you decide how you want them spaced. I had to remove them all because I was unhappy with the height of some of the shelves based on the layout the instructions default to. And use a hammer when you install those metal pegs, because they don't go in easy.
