Smartphone Photo Cube Printer - Android/Micro USB - White

In spite of the glowing 5 star rating for the priceless features on the box but no description of functionality, I purchased this printer. I am sadly disappointed with this device.First, when I connected my current Android phone (running version 4.3.3), the Photo Cube Advance app notified me that I needed to connect a device running a version previous to Android 4.2 to upgrade the printer firmware. The English in the manual is choppy and the name of the app indicates a poor working knowledge of our language, so it could be that version 4.2 is sufficient. If it means 4.1 (which is the actual meaning of the phrase they use: "previous to"), that version was released in July of 2012. So, you must use an Android version released almost two years ago. Since I keep my Android devices up to date, none of my 4 devices would work (all running 4.3 or newer).Second, the app also said you can connect any IOS device to upgrade the firmware. I tried with 3 apple devices (iPhone 4, iPhone 5, iPad 3) and the app will not stay open on any device. They are running IOS 5.1.1, IOS6.1.6, and IOS7.1.1. I feel I gave the printer a fair shake with devices - trying 7 different devices, the two supported Operating Systems and 5 different OS versions.I have scoured the web to try and find a way to upgrade the firmware of the printer using any method (laptop, Android, iPhone, anything) and have not found any. The company website doesn't provide any support options for these printers (downloads or manuals).Third, the company website is abysmal at best. Direct from their FAQ page:"I am not satisfied with my purchase, I want a refund. Who do I contact? Note that VuPoint Solutions does not sell directly to customers. You will need to contact the retailer or catalog company which you have made your purchase with. Please note that all retailers will have their individual refund policies."and:"I just upgraded my system and my product no longer operates. What can I do? If your purchase was very recent (30 days), you may want to contact the retailer for a credit or refund."Basically, if you are not happy or the product doesn't work - take it back! Their product page has missing links for the manual and no useful information about troubleshooting problems. There is no support page for the devices this company sells.Last, their company mission states "Our mission is simple: We delivers advanced, innovative and reliable product solutions." Great - how come using 7 different devices, all of which are in the approved device list, none of them work? How come I can't update the firmware using a laptop? Why do I need to update the firmware using a device that is 1.5 years old? How come it is 2014 and you can't pay someone to proofread the Engrish on your website?Lots of questions and few answers. I will continue to search for a smartphone photo printer. I have two months before my daughter arrives and Momma will be printing up a storm!

Nice little photo printer. Fairly easy to get working properly. Before hooking printer up to your device you need to download the latest app (see info provided), pick a photo to print, hit the print button, and then plug your device into the phone. It may need to update the firmware (will do so automatically). If you do not follow these steps you may encounter problems with printing. Photos are pretty good, but they do have a tiny bit of a halo effect, but not bad enough to ruin the photo. I would recommend this printer. I bought two, and had to send one back. Return was easy, and new machine worked fine.

Makes very good prints and easy to set up. only problem is cost of the paper

This was a Christmas present for my daughter and she still has not tried it out. However, the features on the box sound like this will be priceless when she does begin using it. Quick delivery too!! Thank you!!! A+++

Good product!

Awful!! The first one jammed the paper. Threw it away. Ordered another cube. It sucked a print back in and next print tore the color film. that cube followed the first. 😓😓😠
