Nice Entry Level Telescope
This telescope was packaged extremely well; box within a box, within a box. Assembly and initial setup was a breeze, even for younger aspiring astronomers. The tripod is solid. The red dot didn't help much with centering the moon, and would probably be even less useful trying to identify a star, but it at least gets you somewhere in the vicinity. With the high power eyepiece, the moon fills the field of view. Looking at the craters on the moon was a fun experience for me and my kids. Focusing was easy and very clear. Haven't had really clear skies to look at many stars yet, but we will soon! In conclusion, if you want an inexpensive telescope with good, clear optics...this is a great place to start.

Good for beginner children. Not adults.
This is a cool telescope but it is definitely a complete beginners telescope. If you are looking to view truly deep sky objects this is not for you. I picked it because I thought I'd be able to see more than a few things clearly. I was wrong. I was able to view one of the brightest stars in the sky pretty well. Mars was a bright dot. It should've been better than that. I made the mistake of trying to save money but hoping it was at least more powerful than a pair of binoculars. I recommend it for anyone with a child that is interested in viewing the moon or very close objects. But for an adult, this one is way to beginner for you. It will be worth your money to pay for a step up. I will be returning this one and paying a little more for a better one. Not a bad scope. Just not for anyone looking for better quality.

Great scope, quality lens
Very impressed. Amateur astronomer and own multiple telescopes. This little scope can give you great views even in light polluted areas. No problem I was able to see Jupiter’s 4 moons and two of the giants clouds belts. People maybe having issues because they don’t understand how to properly use a telescope and what you need to factor in due to your surrounding light polluted environment.

This was a great purchase and I would recemmend it to anyone
This was a gift for my husband and he uses it all the time. It works perfectly and the images show up very clearly in the viewfinder. All attachments worked very well also. This was a great purchase and I would recemmend it to anyone.

Very disasppointing purchase.
Cannot see anything with these. Very disappointing as I was eagerly looking forward to exploring the galaxy, moon and stars. I tried looking at the moon and stars and was not able to see anything. The instructions for use are not clear to a novice like me. The other reviews on this are very misleading. It did not come with a bag nor case. It came packaged in brown boxes. I have to purchase a bag to carry it around in.

Great for responsible children, or adults.
Seems to be a really nice telescope. My kids broke it within a day, but up until that point it was really nice. Just make sure you tighten things really well lol.

Perfect for my grandson
Yes the product is well constructed and you actually do see stars and the moon up close. Perfect for my grandson.

Great starter set for the budding stargazer
Great starter set for the budding stargazer. My daughter loves looking at the Moon through it and seeing all the craters. Not really powerful enough to see planets and stars up close, but great for the price.

Excellent Quality Built Entry Level Telescope
I purchased this telescope for my daughter two years ago for Christmas. This item is a good entry level telescope, especially for the price. It is an entry level telescope though so you should expect that it is somewhat limited in it's optics. I am very happy with this item and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good quality built, inexpensive, starter telescope.
