Not impressed
My husband and I ordered this thinking it would be similar in size to "cruncher", just do a lot less. It is about a quarter of the size, you have to open the mouth, push on the tongue and it bites down on your finger and growls...that's all! Not impressed, but decided to keep it because of the ridiculous restocking fee and having to pay for shipping myself, we wouldn't have even gotten half our money back. PLUS, the box had previously been opened then taped back shut before shipping. First time shopping on Amazon, so far, not impressed.

He's A Cutie!
This is another toy my 9 year old grandson bought with his own money to go along with another Prehistoric Pets dinosaur. It's tiny I had shown my grandson how big it would be so it was OK. He really likes how it "bites" and holds on - it's not too tight, and I know because it has managed to "bite" me several times.....It's well made and I do recommend this, especially for any dino lovers you may have.

All bark, no bite- and that's a good thing!
I, too, am an adult who played with this in the store because it was too interesting to pass up. It makes cute noises and does clamp down on your finger, which was an intended function of the manufacturer. It does NOT hurt. Part of the play value is to see if you can shake him loose after he chomps down, which may be a little too easy to do. After investigating for myself, I am definitely buying a couple for my twins. I think they'll play with them for quite a while. I believe they'll be a huge hit with the 3-and-up crowd.

Fun for little kids
My 4 year old daughter loves it. She likes the look and the sounds it makes and thinks it's a fun little game trying to avoid the snapping bite when you press it's tongue. The snapping didn't seem to hurt her at all. I tried it before I gave it to her and it doesn't hurt. Good for a little boy or little girl.

Very fun toy!
I got this toy for my 5 year old and it was an instant hit. He did let the toy chomp his finger once, but after that he figured out how to shut the mouth gently. Snapping his finger was never an issue after that. The toy makes very cute noises and shuts itsself after only 8 seconds of inactivity. It's a great toy for a junior palentologist.
