Sally Hansen Hair Remover Kit, 1 Count (Package May Vary)

No one told me that when I reached retirement age that my facial “peach fuzzy” would grow longer and my upper lip hair would grow in dark. There is nothing worse than peach fuzzy matted under foundation and dark hair poking out above a lip. I grew tired of daily dermaplaning to get rid of my facial hair and decided to give chemical hair removal a try. As a retired person, chemical hair removal is less expensive than going to a spa for hair removal treatments or buying a home laser hair removal device. To my delight Sally Hansen’s cream works to keep my facial hair away for about 5-days. This makes getting ready for the day much easier and faster. Lessons learned/Tips from my early trials with the cream. 1. I have learned that 3-minutes does not work for me to remove the facial hair. 5-minutes is the better time for me. But be very carefully to not leave this solution on too long or you will irritate your skin. You will need to test what time works best for you. 2. I divide my face into 4 sections to ensure I only leave the solution on for 5-minutes before wiping off with a damp facial pad. a. Upper lip including the columella and Nasolabial folds b. Chin including 2-inches under chin. c. Left Cheek including 2-inches under jaw line d. Right cheek including 2-inches under jaw line. 3. Wash your hands immediately after applying the cream to your face. 4. I wash my face with a gentle dermatologist recommended cleanser after completing each section of my face. 5. My process set-up includes a watch to monitor the time, facial pads, and a magnifying mirror to check my work after each section. 6. I put a thick layer of dermatologist recommended moisturizer cream on my face after I’ve completed the process. 7. The chemical smell can linger on the skin. I found taking a shower after the process gets rid of the smell.

I was both pleased with and disappointed with this hair removal cream. It works great on fine, light hairs, but not so good on the thick, dark hairs. I'm pleased with it, because it drastically reduces the amount of hairs I need to pluck. But, to be one hundred percent happy with it, it would have to remove all of the hairs. I have to leave it on for the full eight minutes for it to remove my fine hairs. I also have to use a fairly thick application or it won't work. It doesn't bother my skin at all. It makes the skin a tiny bit pink for about five minutes after removing, but no pain or itching. I'm including three pictures. The first is the before, the second is during, and the third is the after.

This stuff worked very well for me! I was a little bit nervous about buying any kind of hair removal product, but I knew I wanted to do something about the hair on my face! I spot tested it first, then waited till the next day to dive in. I applied it in sections to my face. I started with the right half, applying it on my jaw line and my cheek. I was so embarrassed but I praticially had a side burn that went all the way down to my jaw. Not super dark, but in the right light it was pretty unsightly. I was unsure if it would help since that hair was a little bit thicker than the light peach fuzz hairs I had on my check. I waited about 5 minutes before taking a damp cloth over it. It took it all off with no problem! I repeated the process again and used the product on my upper lip, as well as my chin, again to try to attack the peach fuzz I had going on...again it worked perfectly. Finished up with the left side of my face. I then applied the lotion provided in the kit and put it on twice over the next 12 hours or so. I experienced no burning, no breakout, and again the hair came off super easily. It has been two weeks since I used this product and the hair has not returned. The lotion really helps your skin feel super soft! I all ready feel better about my facial appearance and no longer feel self-conscious!! If you are one of those ladies that are blessed with hair...almost everywhere, I highly recommend using this product. Most important tip is to spot test it first, and use the lotion! :)

This product works generally well when the product is less than a year old. I noticed that after I’ve had the bottle for more than a year, it starts taking longer than five minutes to remove the hairs. After a while, even 15 minutes doesn’t work and I end up with these zapped looking hairs still on my face so that’s what I have to throw it out and buy a new one. Luckily, this is not too expensive.

great product meet my needs

I have used this Sally Hansen Facial Hair Removal for a long time. I was having trouble finding it at the store, so I ordered it here. The packaging was different (as indicated it may be), but there has clearly been a change to the formula. At first, I thought maybe just the fragrance was improved, but something else has clearly changed. I have never had issues with this product before, but for whatever improvement was made in the smell the quality has drastically decreased. It did remove hair, as promised, but also left chemical burns on my face. This is very disappointing, as I will now have to look into another brand when I've been a long-time user of this brand.

Didn't work for me. Im in perimenopause and started getting very very thick black hairs in my chin. Other products left me with burns. This one didn't give me burns or rashes but simply didn't work. I did precisely as the directions said. Even tried leaving it on longer. Nope lol. Clearly based on the reviews tho, it works for some people . Its cheap enough its worth a try!

I’m super satisfied with this product. I have a super sensitive skin and I thought I will have red marks/spots after using it the first time but worry didn’t happen.

This Hair Remover kit is great for coarse and stubborn facial hairs - with long lasting results. Easy to use, no smell, and far superior to any facial hair remover I've used in the past. Impossible to find this product where I live - happy to have found it on Amazon.
