Honey-Can-Do IBC-01289 Standard Fire-Retardant Ironing Board Cover with Pad Dots, Green

I got to this listing when I searched for an oversized cover. Unfortunately, I didn't realize the other colors were for standard boards; hence, I bought this in error because the standard and oversized covers are sold in the same listing! Be sure to check the description when you click on the different colors. The product is fine, just the wrong size for me.

I've been using this ironing board cover UNHAPPILY for several months now. I'm a very busy person who doesn't have a lot of time to write this review but this product is so defective that I feel I must warn other potential buyers. I would have appreciated someone warning me about this product. Two problems with this cover: (1) When I iron on this cover, a toxic-smelling fume emits from it, to the extent that I have to stand away from the board until the fumes dissipate. (2) When I use my iron on medium-hot setting or higher, the cover turns brown, meaning it scorches. At first, I thought it was just a natural priming of the cover fabric but after months of using it, it continues to turn a darker brown, and now the browning is rubbing off on my iron and clothes. I don't know about you but if an ironing board cover leaves a sticky brown film on my clothes and my iron, I stop using it!! On top of all this, I emailed the Honey-Can-Do company telling them about this problem and after about 3 months, NO ONE at Honey-Can-Do has responded to my complaint. I take this silence to mean they don't give a sh** about customer satisfaction.

This is a really pretty cover, a beautiful turquoise kind of teal with a subtle floral vine print. It almost reminds me of Japanese origami paper. It does seem a little bit more snug fitting than my previous cover but seems well padded. Also, it comes in a really cute matching bag with handle which would be great to repurpose for storage or a makeup bag or something.

I like the pattern on this ironing board pad. I've been looking for one that fits my ironing board for a while. I have one that is slightly larger than the standard dimensions. This pad fit like a glove with just a little adjustment. Don't expect high quality though. The material is very thin and the pad/backing isn't covered on the side that touches the board. Not a big deal but did cause some lumps underneath the fabric when I put it on. It'll work but I don't expect it to last for long.

It is elasticized all around which is good, but it said it fit boards up to 54"...it does that , but is not wide enough. I will have to sew on some straps to go under board in order to get it to cover sides and stay on. Not worth the hassle of sending it back.

Hey, it's an ironing board cover! What more could you be looking for? This guy, however, has a lovely pattern, elastic edges that are adjustable with the use of a pull cord, and is padded with cushioning. I'm not sure what more you could be looking for. The price is nice, too.

Cover fits a regular sized ironing board nice & tight without need of straps -- the narrow end slides over the board & the rest stretches snuggly & holds firm. The color was a little brighter than I expected. Also, your left with a gift: a small cloth zippered handbag (made from the same material as your new cover) that the cover was rolled-up into, that can be now used to store small items in your travel suitcase, or whatever....

It looks a little dingy. Just the colors of it I guess.

This was disappointing because it doesn't fit my 54 inch ironing board. It's my own fault. I looked at so many covers and I thought this one said that it fit a standard 54 inch, but it doesn't. It only fits a 48 inch board. It is an exceptionally well made cover and has a thick fiber pad. If it would of fit my ironing board, I would of given it at least 4 stars. But because it doesn't fit and I can't return it because the packaging got thrown out, I'm only giving it 2 stars because I don't like that it doesn't fit and now I'm stuck with it.

The pattern is nice and fits oversized ironing boards. However, the tying straps are quite flimsy and one has broken on my cover. I've used it for about a year now and had to stitch a DIY strap to properly secure it. If you are handy, it will work well.

Fit just right. The padding is not as thick as I would like it. The package states that it is one of the thickest that they make. Nice color. Seems pretty solid overall. I'm happy. Worth the cost.

It fit the board perfectly with no need for extra clips or connectors.The fabric is a bit 'cheesy'. Hopefully it will stand up over time.

Came as advertised, but scorched first day using. Big yellow stain. Not very heat resistant
