Awesome!!!!!!!
It was very useful for what I wanted to for and I continue to make use of it. I will recommend it to any one that needed a laminator for basic ID's.

Charitable gift
I purchased this product to donate to my local clubs that require membership. They needed a laminating machine for membership cards.

Very disappointed
This laminator melted 1st ID card put into it. The plastic butterfly sleeve jammed the rollers. That’s all she wrote! I preheated it for 10 minuted and used 10 mil butterfly sleeve and teslin from a kit.You know it’s funny, you read all the horror stories but believe that won’t happen to me. I only planned on making 20 to 25 ID cards over the next 4 years. Well under the usage so many say that it stops working. I’d tell you it’s a piece of junk but it didn’t run long enough to determine that.

Great laminator for club membership cards
I have used this to laminate various club cards and it works well. The warmup to operating temp seems a little slow.

great price and works
Bought this little guy to laminate business cards and make luggage tags. Works perfectly with 5mil laminate pouches. Works ok with the 10mil. I am not sure if my business cards are a little too thick -- but it takes several passes to get the pouch closest to the business card to seal. I will try to laminate a thinner business card in 10mil pouch and update. All in all its worth the money and if you don't have to do a lot of laminating i would recommend.

Exactly what I needed
It was a replacement unit from one I bought from an ID card vendor. Same thing for 30 dollars less

If you want a laminator that is fast, hot and small this is the one for you!
We are so very happy with this little laminator. It is fast, hot and takes up very little space on our circulation counter at the library. The price is right also.

Light Use Only
This laminator is attractively priced at $52.99. While it is more than adequate to laminate 100 or fewer ID Cards, for quantities greater than that spend the extra money and buy the Pro-Lam 100 4" Laminator by Akiles. It can be found for less than $190. If I were reviewing the Akiles I would give it 5 stars without a doubt. The easyIDea ML450 I purchased was used exclusively for laminating Customer Rewards Cards (credit card size). I used Artisyn synthetic paper (10 mil) sandwiched by a 10 mil matte/matte butterfly pouch. I successfully laminated almost 500 cards before purchasing the Akiles Pro-Lam 100 4" Laminator. But wait, you said 100 or fewer cards above you're thinking. You are correct. Although all the cards required a minimum of two passes through the ML450 Laminator to successfully bond the three layers, the first 100 or so cards were otherwise trouble-free. After that I began getting blemishes, blisters and cards that wouldn't bond no matter how many times I passed them through the laminator. I averaged about a 10% failure rate over the last 350 or so cards. Artisyn paper ain't cheap!! Neither are the pouches!! Every reject costs, and it adds up.So for light duty I give it 4 stars since it gets the job done and has a great price. However for medium or heavy duty it only receives 2 stars because this laminator just doesn't cut the mustard. Average: 3 stars. For anything more than 100 cards I'd spend the extra $135 and get the Akiles.
