I broke my old old Westlock entry set, bought this as a temporary fix because they were very inexpensive, I am not going to replace it with another high dollar unit because this lockset is built as well or better than those costing 300.00-500.00 dollars. I read the negative reviews and was willing to give it a try anyway, glad I did. Entry locksets like this can be challenging to install, especially where a different unit had been previously installed. This unit is very well built, better than many name brand units, it works flawlessly when properly installed. This was $50.00 well spent and took about 45 minutes for experienced me to install. 6 months later it's still working as designed. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Solid First Impression—Shelby Handleset Brings Style and Security *by on Reviewed in the United States October 29, 2025* This lock set surprised me—in the best way. Installation was straightforward, even for a DIYer with a troubleshooting ritual and a stubborn front door. The Shelby handle feels substantial, not hollow or flimsy, and the satin nickel finish adds a clean, modern touch without screaming for attention. The deadbolt engages smoothly, the handle has a satisfying weight, and everything aligned without needing extra drilling or hardware hacks. It’s not just functional—it’s part of the welcome ritual now. Guests notice the upgrade, and I notice the peace of mind.If you’re looking for a budget-friendly lock set that doesn’t feel budget-built, this one earns its spot. Style, security, and simplicity—all in one box. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Elegant and Simple to install *by on Reviewed in the United States June 30, 2026* Very nice set! Looks great on our newly painted black door.
