Love 'N Bake Baking Pastes, Almond Paste, 10-Ounce Cans (Pack of 3)

So overall the product is nice, serves it's purpose as a dutiful almond paste however I did taste it out of the can and ended up using it in my almond cake and found that while it bakes perfectly, you may want to cut back on the sugar just a little in your recipe. The paste smelled wonderful, was fresh and easy to use. Will use and purchase again but next time I know to cut back a little on the sugar when working with it :-D

I bought this so I could make some gluten free cookies - for the first time in my life! Makes for a chewy cookies inside and crispy on the outside. Takes really almondy! Loved them!

Love making the almond macaroons however, you can buy the almond paste in the supermarket and not wait for deliver to your door. .

I was very pleased with Love 'N Bake Almond Paste. It was much smoother, more malleable, and more easily incorporated into other ingredients than the stiffer, dryer Odense almond paste I've used before. The flavor was excellent as well. The only negative is the packaging. It has a pull-ring lid, so once it is opened, it cannot be resealed if all the almond paste is not used. Not a big problem, but it would have been nice if it came with a plastic lid as well. This is an expensive baking item, but worth the occasional splurge.Since writing this review, I have begun making my own almond paste using Jacques Torres recipe: [...]#! A good food processor is a necessity, but other than that it is easy to make with readily available ingredients. The resulting almond paste is superior to any commercial product I've tasted and costs less.

I bought the three pack since I heard good things about this Brand from some sites online.Was absolutely disappointed.It has little almond flavor or fragrance. It required adding more Almond Extract in my go-to Almond Cake recipe. Odense does a much better job for me. I use a food processor, so the consistency of the paste does not matter.Perhaps the paste used to taste better.If you are using a recipe that requires this Brand, then you need to change the recipe to use another Brand.If you have a food processor, then Odense will work better for you in recipes that needs Almond Paste.

I'll admit it, I'm a bit of an almond addict. And Love N' Bake Almond Paste is the best out there, and is simply a must have for baking almond cookies like pignolis and deeply almond flavored cakes. It's the brand most often mentioned in cookbooks I trust, and for good reason. If you're making a recipe that calls for almond paste, use this type, which is smooth and creamy (and good enough to be eaten right out of the can!) as opposed to grocery store brands which are drier and more crumbly. Also, buying in this three pack saves you money over the individual price of one of these cans.

Made some almond cookies using this paste, wicked good! Used a recipe from King Arthur Flour.com, can of almond paste, sugar or sucralose, eggwhite, dash of salt, maybe some chocolate chips, yummo! This recipe only yields 12-15 cookies, and kind of pricey, but well worth the effort/expense. Crunchy on the outside, deliciously chewy almond inside.The paste needs to be cut up with a knife in smaller pieces, before putting it in a food processor, as it is thick and will bog down the processor.Free ship took 4 days from order date. Packaged well.The paste is obviously expensive, but is also very tasty. Great stuff.

Not very flavorful, wouldn't buy again.
