Apple Authentic Leather Case for Apple iPhone 5/5s/SE - Red

This item was advertised as an authentic Apple iPhone 5S (Product) Red case. However, this case was, in fact, a cheap knock-off.The outer layer of the case began peeling almost immediately after I started using it, which makes it look cheap and shoddy. I would strongly recommend that you do not trust the seller of this item.

This is picking up and showing dirt pretty quickly. I wouldn't buy any color other than black again.One the plus side it fits perfectly of course. A little too perfect perhaps. It has individual holes drilled in it for each hole in the speaker grill, which line up and match perfectly. It's a thoughtful and meticulous touch that only Apple would provide. However that means sounds have to go past a thick layer of sound absorbing material. There was a definite drop in volume with this. I'd prefer skipping this fancy detail and just having a single large opening for the speaker.Pressing the side buttons through the leather works surprisingly well.I thought people were being sensitive complaining about the shiny part of the bezel showing. Well, they are right that it doesn't look good, though that's minor compared to how it looks after using it a few months.

I think a bumper case is more attractive than this leather one since the back of the SE is so nice, but this has held up to my abuse much better. I went through 3 or 4 bumpers in 6 months-- I can't help but fidget with them until they break. I've been using this leather case for nine months now and it will last as long as the phone for sure. It is turning black on the edges from my grubby paws and has a shallow nick in the leather on one edges but given what I put it through, that is very mild. Also I've been running without any screen protection the entire time and the bevel has been sufficient to save it from scratches sliding on a table or breakage from drops.

The case is absolutely beautiful and so so classy. This is my wife's second Apple "red" case only because as some of the reviews here have mentioned, the case will show its age quickly the more you use it. It's very quick and easy for dirt to show even under normal use, but is a thing of beauty at first use. I also think it compliments very well in particular any of the white faced iPhones. Just beware that overtime, dirt will build up and may no longer look as clean and bright as when you first installed it.

This is a reconsideration of my earlier review. It is likely authentic. It fits well but is hard to remove. All functions of the phone work just fine with this case on. The phone can be charged without removing the case. But it CANNOT fit into a lightning dock with the case on.

This is a beautiful case that seems to be an authentic apple product . If not, it fits my phone perfectly and protects the screen slightly by having an edge that is raised above screen level. It is sleek and not slippery. I am careful with my phone and this vivid red case is what I was looking for. I would recommend it or purchase it again.

Fast shipping, the case is really pretty.The only two things I didn’t like as much.1. I didn’t realize how easily this case gets dirty and because is leather like, it is impossible to clean compleatly.2. The headphone jack is hard to plug all the way in.

As far as I can tell this item can take a very day wear and tear. I do part time DJ work and have my iPhone in my jeans and amongst equipment while I work and while it has its scars, it gives the case character. I have not seen a big change in colour except for edges that are now glossy dark red, adding again to the character

Perfect fit for the I Phone 5S. This is a very light case, but a strong one that protects the phone very well without adding a lot of weight or bulk.

Was hesitant thinking this might not be an authentic apple product. It is! The unboxing was just like any authentic leather/silicon case you would purchase at the Apple store.

It wears away after a while, and darkens quickly.

Good for the price I guess. Feels a bit cheap but works as expected.

Disappointed! Great color but edges wear quickly and always looks dirty.
