Review: Perfect for the job! - I made a lot of research before biting the bullet on this purchase. After a long research i eliminated my choices between Clarion XC1410 and Alpine KTP-445U. I decided on Clarion mainly because of the price to benefit ratio. I was able to get more for less from Clarion. I have a Toyota GTS86 (also known as subaru BRZ or scion FRS) so it's a small car. I didn't need anything that'd make my ears bleed. I combined this amp with JBL GTO608C component speakers. Sound is just unbelievable. Everything is crisp clear. Bass is tight and i'm yet to turn it up all the way. It's just too loud. At least inside a sound dampened sports car. There are however some minor negatives that i should mention: -You'll need a connector to connect your power and ground cables from the battery to the power and ground cables on the amp. They've made a socket thing to remove the amp without removing all the harness but it's only good after you attach your cables together. It's simply a nuisance and an extra cost to purchase a connector for a 10gauge cable. And some extra work. -You'll need extra speaker cables, 4 to be exact for 2 speaker setup. Or 8 if you will go for 4 speaker setup(HU to AMP & AMP to Speakers). Again, a bit of soldering & heat shrink/electrical taping required which is a bit of a nuisance. Luckily i had lots of speaker cables so didn't spend anything on it. -Velcro strap or at least zip ties necessary to hide it under the dash somewhere. I hid everything in the glove box but i recommend a sticky velcro tape to make sure that the amp won't run around in the glove box(if you choose to install there). I was very tight in space so i went for glovebox. -Channels are not bridgeable whereas Alpine KTP-445u was bridgeable. Positives: -Ridiculous value for money. As cheap as it could possibly get. -Crisp clear sound. -Easy audio setup(not install but adjusting gain) -Compact and easily hidden -User friendly manual. Very easy to read and understand how to install even for someone new to installing a sound system. -Runs very cool. After an hour of listening, it barely got warm. So long story short, they could've included the necessary stuff to make a complete install. Perhaps that would pull the price up a little though. If you are looking for a great sounding amplifier without breaking the bank, look no further. It certainly won't win any competitions but do you really want to go deaf listening to music? And again, i still couldn't turn the volume up all the way even with 2 speaker setup. For me, the negatives simply can not overwhelm the positives.
Review: Great amp. especially considering the price. - I bought the Clarion XC1410 D-Class amp because I wanted to get more clarity in my music for the four door speakers in my 2011 Chevy Silverado, (without Bose system) I have a Sony aftermarket head unit installed along with an iPad Mini custom installed in my dash and I don't need to be able to play my music super loud but I was hoping this small amp. would help with the definition of my music and I am not disappointed, in fact I am quite impressed. I have new Rockford Fosgate speakers that I will be installing in the near future but I wanted to see how much, if any difference installing this amp. would make using the stock speakers before installing the new RF speakers. I can tell a very noticeable improvement in my music, just by installing this amp., I have much more mid bass now and the vocals are even more clear. This is only my second amplifier that I have installed and this one is relatively easy since I was able to put the amp. behind the dash of my truck. For the money, I am very pleased with my purchase and would highly recommend this amp. to anyone looking for more clear and refined music with the least amount of hassle and money. Also the build quality is excellent on this amp.with an all brushed Aluminum body it's almost a shame to hide it in the dash. I would recommend getting the 8ga amp. kit on desertcart when you buy this amp and you should have everything you need to do the install. Question: I love this little amp but every since I have had it installed if I turn my truck key to acc., wait 2 - 5 seconds and then start my truck the sound will not play. If I turn the truck off and open the door to "kill" the radio and then start the truck without pausing on acc. the radio works fine. I have another amp for my subwoofer and there is no problem with the sub playing regardless to how I start the truck, in other words the sub amp works normally. Both amp. turn on wires are connected to the radio "amp turn on" wire. If anyone has had this issue or know how to correct this problem your help would be greatly appreciated. I have tried everything I know to try to fix this issue with no luck. Also, it does not matter if the sub amp. is connected to the turn on wire or not I have the same issue. I am assuming this problem is a install problem and not the Clarion amp but at this point I am not so sure. I welcome any input on this, it really gets to me when something is not working exactly like it should.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Pretty great little amp
*by D***S on May 24, 2015*

Pretty great little amp, pushes well without draining the system too much. Installation was simple and the system played first try. Has RCA options, as well as direct speaker +/- connections. Great overall amp, and for cheap. My only concern is this. It does have a safety cut off, if it's pushed too much, which I may or may not have reached quite a few times. All it does is cut out for a second. Turn the volume down a little and it jumps right back in. I have yet to test when exactly this happens, It would be beneficial to see if this cutoff is truly a safety switch, or if the claimed 300w max isn't being reached. Just me speculating. If you're that concerned about how loud the system is, don't get a digital amp. And don't get a 300w max amp. This is a great option for cars with weak charging systems, that still want quality sound on a budget. This amp delivers that, and so much more.
