Hankook Tea Tisane, Hydrangea Leaf, 0.53 Oz

I hadn't paid attention and forgot this was loose leaf, and then further forgot internet advice to only use a couple leaves. The amount I used (more appropriate for actual tea) was way. too. sweet, so I began pouring off some for later (hope it stores well in the fridge) and diluted and diluted until it wasn't overpowering. At the time I bought this no other hydrangea tisanes were available; the shipping was kinda slow, but it arrived eventually. I understand Hydrangea serrata (this product) is closely related to H. macrophylla, which is what I had been looking for at first.

Great Tea

Interesting traditional tea. Non-sugar sweetness probably akin to Stevia. Traditionally used in Southeast Asia as the sweet tea to bathe the baby Buddha during the Wesak ceremony. Suited for this purpose because sweet but not sticky.

I had a favorite tea I purchased in South Korea. I can no longer purchase it. This tea is just like my old favorite. So happy!

I like the freshness and I prefer the loose tea rather than the tea bags. The young leaves expand quickly in the hot water.

Inexpensive way to enjoy a good taste of Korean green tea. 'Doo mool' means the green leaves were harvested in the early summer (2nd season of harvesting). Those harvested during the earliest season is the best, but more expensive.

I was excited to try this tisane because I'd heard of its natural sweetness but it felt more like a stevia flavor (although stevia is not added) than sugary sweet taste.

I bought this tea for the gift, every one love it.
