I had to make the snip to get my full size fram pistol into it, but it fits just fine. Being able to move the metal clip from one side to the other is nice, but it is a tight fit and is difficult to remove from each side. But it isn't coming out accidently! The magazine pouch is big enough for my 19 round magazines. But being on the same side as your pistol makes it less useful as you can't reach it with your support hand. I could use it this way as I wear it 6 o'clock reversed, so that my gun jmhand draws the pistol and my support hand draws the magazine. Wearing this strong side (3 or 4 o'clock right handed or 8 or 9 for left hand) would put the spare magazine out of reach.
